didn't see him around the ball all that much, and only seen him on the field because of his taunting penalty. does it have something to do with the new defense this year, or was it just an off game

Old boys never really got far enough to get to the safety

They realized they should probably try and attack the side he wasn't on for player safety reasons.

I don't think he was off his game. I'm not certain but I think if you look at stats you'll see the LB's and DLmen did pretty well. 2 LBs combined for 21 tackles, DLmen were very active as well. I think some of the opportunities he shined in last year didn't present them self this game, and that isn't really a bad thing.
He's solid. He prepares well and some of his best contributions on the field aren't actually accounted for in stats.

This. Plus, he did have a play where he knocked the shite out of a WR attempting to go up for the ball . I'm excited to see what he can do this season, he's a special talent for sure.

They played a prevent defense 90% of the game because of all the blitzing and twist and stuts up front if the safety don't play deep enough or some one slips in coverage that all she wrote plus why play up close to the line when u have a front 6 dominating up front miss state had less then 50 rushing yards

you realize the game plan?

they had jefferson in that type of role and trusted jamal in the secondary coverage more..

it worked out well..

I think it may be the different scheme. He played a lot more center field than I noticed last year, and as stated before he showed up on that deep pass over the middle. It seemed Jefferson was the S showing more support in the run game.

Well for the past couple years our DLine and Linebackers have been somewhat non existent and so a lot of plays fall on our impressive DBs plates and they would show out

Last week however we actually had what some people would call "a pass rush" as well as a middle linebacker that filled the hole, so that new twist on defense distracted us from recognizing the usual good job done by the DBs

They quit throwing to his side when he blew up that WR who tried to catch the pass over the middle in the endzone

There is no reason to worry about Jamal Adams!

I felt like everyone froze after that play as if to ask, "Did Jamal just kill a guy?"

Seemed cocky. Downed the punts too early.

Ummm, your on the right track......did everyone forget Mills is injured? Jamal is tasked with holding that 3rd level down. When Mills is back Jamal will be roaming a lot more! Mills being out changes this D more than we realize.
