I still think some part of it has something to do with the locker room environment.

Fans will always try to spin this negatively on the coach when things aren't going as great as it should

but this is a great sign for LSU and very good for recruiting.

it's a sign that LSU has some of the best talent in the country. (note: soon LSU will lead the number of players in the NFL, with the recent USC fall off)

LSU will continue to be a great team and more and more guys will go pro year after year. It's something we must get use to.

Imagine someone considering LSU and they see 39 players from LSU are in the NFL, and this is better than every other team in the country except USC. That is very attractive to a player who has hopes for going pro.

Don't you think if the players thought we had a chance for a championship, they'd stay?

Not a chance.

Do you really think Mingo, Minter, Mont, and Simon looked at each other and said...'nope, out D will suck with us here next year" We gotta go.

Loyalty has always been over-rated...except for the naive...lol...but the bubble has to be burst at some point...it's called "growing up time"...

If the game's irrelevant….Tiger Fans leave early!

anybody that doesn't think that 'fan attitude' doesn't affect 'team attitude' is only fooling themselves. did you ever chart employee productivity before and after the boss leaves early? when the kids see half-empty stadiums and hear and read continuous negativity coming from the stands and forums, like TD, they begin to feel like they are the only ones that care. when they begin to believe that they are the only ones that care then it becomes very easy for them to rationalise leaving early. why should they bust hump in a very dangerous and dibilitating game when the self-proclaimed "best fans in the world" are nowhere to be found and instead of supporting the team they are either too busy partying or rushing home so they can online bash the team's effort? the one thing tam does get right is mandating the tradition of the "12th man" code. Tiger fans better wake the frick up because not only are we losing kids early but more and more are flat out saying, "frick LSU and frick their fair weather fans."

a lot of you nega's will think this is bullshite or put it on the staff, but think back to florida '07 and how much the sustained and unrivaled fan support in Tiger Stadium propelled that team on that nite to a level of play unsurpassed in college football. every game can't be florida'07 but ever game can be an opportunity to show the kids that we care and that we have their backs. Oh, I am a posi and I think the fans are about the last thing on the list of considerations for these players.

Level of play unsurpassed in college football? I was there, and we played some gritty football and defended Tebow well...but unsurpassed? Really?
