I actually think we beat Bama worse than the first time. I felt we played that entire first game not wanting to lose instead of going out there knowing we were the better team. If/when we meet again there will be no doubt, I guarantee our players aren't nearly as worried as a majority of our fans.

Yup. And we'd be making the same points the Bama fans are now

if LSU gets through the SECCG uninjured, then i could care less if there is a rematch.

It is pretty clear at this point now how scared LSU fans are of a rematch.

Are you 14 years old?

The most purple-and-gold-glasses-wearing Tiger fan would say Bama would win 2 or 3 out of 10 games. That's a 1 in 5 chance. Why blow the perfect season. I hope we play Indiana for the championship.

The only good thing about a rematch, if we lost, which we wouldn't, but we'd be co-champions having defeated Bama once.

I'll admit it. I was nervous as frick before the Nov 5th game. i would love to go into the BCS game without worrying. Am I scared of Bama? no. Would I rather play an easier team to win a championship? Always

I'd love a rematch but it would be retarded.

No.
If OSU wins vs OU, if we beat OSU, this will be the greatest team in LSU history and maybe college football history. A Bama rematch, unless LSU bleauxs Bama off the field, doesn't forward that argument significantly.

don't care but I haven't gotten a answer to the one question I think matters:

Why does Alabama get two shots at LSU to win it all????

makes no sense. Had your chance, move on. But whatever, LSU is the better team

There is nothing good about losing a Championship game, and there is nothing good about sharing a title. I personally think that is stupid, nobody is going to be chanting at the sports bar "Yeah!! LSU Tigers 2011 co-champions!!!" At the end of the season only one team gets to stand at the top of the mountain.

First of all you guys need to realize a few things, this team has gotten better, Alabama has not.

Alabama couldn't even put the same points on Auburn as UGA and LSU did. JJ had hardly any reps up to the point he was thrown in to Alabama game. (I take credit for the fact I said JJ would be the difference in that game!! hehe) Anyway he is much improved from Alabama game. This game being pretty much a home game for tigers, i ain't scared. Bring on the bammers and their "greatest running back that ever lived or carried a football with his MASSIVE 1583 YARDS" SHOULD BE 1380 since mickey mouse could run for 300 against auburn.

Who wants to watch us destroy Okie Lite? It would be a mirror image of Arkansas game. Did anyone every consider that bama might have gotten lucky (i know but bear with me) on some plays in that game? I know certainly not the special teams part of it, but I tend to think back to 2003 UGA scenario when I think about rematch. We barely won IN tiger stadium, then we go to their house basically and beat em down 34-13 or whatever it was.

sounds about right as we have beaten them 9 out of the last 12. if we beat them again this year, and next year (when we will have a much better team then them), we could be looking at 11 of the last 14. that is total domination over a 13 year period

As long as we're talking rematches, is there anyway WKU sneaks in? I really didn't like the first half against them.

100% agree. We have nothing to gain and everything to lose by playing a team that we've already beaten that also happens to be the toughest team in the country (besides us).

If we hadn't played, there would be a matter to settle. We played. We won. Why sign up for another struggle that could honestly go either way when we can blow OSU out?

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a re-match against Bama for the following reasons:

National championship on the line
Undefeated season on the line
The game is in the Superdome
Les may be the best bowl game coach in the nation
14-0 makes this the greatest team in LSU history
14-0 against this schedule makes LSU the greatest SEC team in SEC history IMO
14-0 against this schedule puts LSU in the GOAT discussion
Beating Bama twice in one season including the NC would be EPIC

Bottom line is that, outside a NC, LSU has more to play for than Bama. LSU has shown the character to meet EVERY challenge this year. Bama has not. I WANT a rematch.
