He's becoming more dominant as the season goes on.

He plays like a man every game.

Martin is so inconsistent.

No one on their team is close to Mickey in stats. Caully-Stein is only averaging 9 pts and the Harrison twins are at about 11 a piece. Mickey averages 17.3 pts, 10.8 Rebs and should be at 4 blks per game after today which leads the nation.

He's been great and has been more dominant as of late.

But I think it will go to Bobby Portis.

That's going to be a great matchup between those two

Yep.... But Portis is 6'11. Very tall and long and skilled. Kids a baller.

The only stat he has a clear advantage on Portis is blocks. Mickey averages 1 or 2 rebs more than Portis, but also plays 7minutes more per game. And Portis shoots a higher % and averages like 1.4 turnovers per game, while Mickey averages 3.5 turnovers per game.

Both are great and deserving of post season accolades, but I think Portis has the edge for POTY.

The problem is that the people who vote for the award are lazy and largely misinformed. They generally jus vote for the best player on the best team without looking. It crazy that people who generally know so little are the ones responsible for deciding these things.

The SECPOY should be a 2-horse race between Mickey and Portis. There isn't a close 3rd

I believe it is between Mickey and Cauley-Stein. As long as Mickey keeps the numbers up and stays as the nations block shot leader he is in real good shape. WCS will get a lot of attention because he in on primetime TV every week. He has been coming on strong this past couple of weeks.

Portis is not getting any attention to float his cause.

This is just not true.

He's arguably leading for POTY right now and has Arky ranked like #24 in the nation. And he's been named Player of the Week in the SEC / Nation a few times as well.

He's getting more than enough attention.

Portis is the only guy with comprable numbers to Mickey. WCS? He's lucky he plays on a team with enough great players to allow him to show up only whe he wants to.

He's really killing it with 9 ppg; 6 rpg; and 2 bpg. If that's POY numbers they ought to just give the award to Quarterman or any other avg SEC player. Hell, he's not even the POY on his own team
