LSU had more penalty yards (a whopping 120) than it did passing yards (80). How can the Tigers keep that up and expect to win big SEC games? Jefferson, maligned throughout his career, insisted he wasn't worried.

"We're 4-0 -- what am I going to be frustrated about?" Jefferson said. "Auburn and Alabama are Week 8 and Week 9. We'll just keep working."

As previously mentioned he's also stated that he doesn't care what the crowd thinks etc etc....

Opinions?

Jefferson needs to be on the sidelines watching instead of playing the way he has been playing.

Maybe he likes watching the defense. I know I do.

Personally, I don't want JJ to be paying attention to the fans. He's unsure of himself enough as it is.

Its very scary when someone who's supposed to be one of the "leaders" of our offense and playing the most important position on the field shows absolutely zero recognition of his own inability to perform and feels he is playing well enough out there

“I had a pretty good performance. We had a couple of dropped balls. I had a couple of inaccurate throws, and I just need to work on that.”
- QB Jordan Jefferson on his outing Saturday night

really jordan?

you had a pretty good performance?

first off,

humility

even if you did have a good performance (which you didnt) learn to be humble

second off,

learn what a good performance is

Truth be told, this only works as long as he doesn't lose a game. If we go undefeated and win the BSC NC game, but Jefferson plays like crap the rest of the way... I'd be ok with that.

I actually like JJ . But the fact is , he isnt being productive at all . That will hurt us as we start to get into the tougher part of the SEC schedule . I have no real issue with JJ , I just think JL needs to get some playing time to see if he can pass for more than 400 yards in 4 GAMES !!!!!!

So no one feels like his comments are a slap in the face to not only the fans, but the rest of his team?

I definitely agree with this. Nothing makes me happier than after seeing a star player coming off a stellar game giving the credit to his teammates (good blocks, etc) and focusing on what could be done better.

Tim Tebow was great about that. However, I'm glad to see JJ isn't crying on Les' shoulder.

I have no problem with his comment and he shouldn't care what the fans think or say, he should care that he can't complete more than 10 fricking passes in a game.

I think the entire fanbase shares your sentiment. However, I also live in reality and am a firm believer in statistics and odds. There is a chance that I can not go to work for the next 3 weeks and still get paid and have very high success ratio, but the odds are I'll be fired and won't sell one fricking thing. Wake the F up Miles.

Contrast those comments with those of a real leader:

quote:

"I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season. God bless."

Well, the question was about the penalties compared to the passing yards. The penalties are a nonissue IMO, we haven't seen them in the other games. The passing.. well, as Jefferson said -- they will just keep working to get better.
