I didn't mean it as an excuse i meant it as this is his first year without an excuse. I say make the tourney at minimum. Once in the tourney anything can happen.

Ehh, twice in 11 years and both times they won the conference tournament to get in (correct me if I'm wrong, I know one year that was only way they were getting in)
Probably a reason he was at North Texas for 11 years and no big school came after him. I just don't think he is a good coach. I hope to hell he proves me wrong and this team turns it around and does well in SEC play.

The writing was on the wall last year during the NC State game. It was so obvious that our team was out coached, and as it unfolded, if one could not see that, you were not watching.
This is the singular factor that the fan base sees again and again in football and basketball.
Getting out coached happens periodically, but in LSU's case it has become an all too common theme.
The fan base will be far more forgiving of mistakes here and there that are normal, than the continual issues that seem to plague these two programs.
Oh...and yes, I was at LSU from 1990-1995...I was a witness to it all.

He was hired because the right people liked him and they finally wore our admins down after years of trying. It was not because of his resume.
Now I hope he proves me wrong and somehow gets this team together, makes a run and sets up roost for a successful career here. I'd absolutely love to eat crow.
Because I, like most everyone...likes Johnny...that's how he got this job.

I agree, I have been disappointed with CJJ but can you refer to someone that has common sense. You're talking about a guy that loves Pastner and Joerger. He also loves Tony Allen which is a guy that can't even make a layup. So excuse me but I don't give a crap what Chris Vernon thinks. He's funny but he is a homer that doesnt know anything about sports.
