So...why did John Treolar run away from LSU so fast after taking an assistant job?

No clue. Only info I have is what was released to the media.

pretty odd considering the rumors of him not allowing Musselman to do much of anything

He knows Johnny can recruit, and that he will be the boss this time..... Not to mention, who knows if there were any tensions to begin with.

For an assistant dedicated to that he'd be solid.

He can draw 1 or 2 solid players in a year himself.

I'm not so sure he's this great recruiter everyone makes him out to be. He has had major holes at multiple positions on almost all of the teams he coached here.

Putting miles in the same category as Johnny jones is pretty ridiculous. Jones could not hold Les Miles' jock strap when it comes to being a winning coach.

Fake rumors to hate on Johnny.

Its pretty much a known fact that Johnny did not listen to his assistants during games

now if we can just get miles, cam and stud back together the circle will be complete

I reserve my laughs at your poke at Stud. He is OL coach for the Buckeyes now. I think we see now he was in a no win situation at LSU working for CLM as OL and OC

Now Johnny can put his skills of being as quiet as a mouse on the sidelines to good use.

Good for Johnny. Sucks it didn't work out here for him.

Johnny was in over his head. This was his dream job and it didn't work out at all. I feel bad for him for that and wish him well.

recruits multiple players in the same position even if that position doesn't need to be filled. It's almost as if he went with a "I'll take what I can get" approach, rather than trying to recruit a balanced roster.
