That's still coaching! You have to drill ball safety into those guys heads. Coach K and Bob knight, Calipari's team might have 1 game like that each season we'll ha e about 10.

Tonight was not Jones's fault.

We were up 8 points with 6 minutes left on the clock. We continue to press and end up giving Mizzou an easy 5 points, which lead to them eventually getting the lead and us having to resort to a 3 pointer for the OT. Yeah, totally not Jones' fault.

All LSU sports are the same. When we play a good team. We play great and look as if we can beat anybody. But a few nights later, we can play a division 2 school and look like we belong in division 2. Baseball and football are usually the same way. We like to keep it interesting i guess you can say

Gray played awful so he didn't play a lot. Mickey just disappeared and Martin got schooled by a guy averaging 2.5 points a game. Terrible effort

Tonight was a Dale Brown Special. Team doesn't know fundamentals. Can't shoot free throws. Can't hold on to the basketball. It's no mistake that that Daddy Dale was Jones' mentor.

I don't care if it's the players missing the free throws/turning the ball over...it's all about discipline and I can't remember the last team our basketball team had any. It's jones duty to instill it.

Gray played like he was on drugs...Probably the worst game I've seen a player play in a while. LSU is a lot better when he's on the bench, esp tonight...

Even with Musselman Jr X&Oing, and despite praise to the contrary by Ott, Hanagriff, Ponamsky and Blanton today, this team's Basketball IQ is poor..

Albeit improving at a snail's pace each passing week/month..and improved from season start and Carib isle fiasco weekend vs ODU/etc..

Lost tonight to a team they should've handled..even on the road.

This team and the staff..ARE SOFT!!

Johnny Jones is not a bad coach. His job is to draw plays up so he can get players open looks and we had a ton of open looks tonight. It's up to the players to hit the shots and make the passes.

he was the one out there that missed 10 free throws and committed 20 turnovers?

Hmm, it seems the LSU teams Jones has coached have problems with free throw shooting and committing turnovers every year. Must just be a coincidence.

While I don't disagree, he's certainly not the only player that looked like shite out there tonight.

This is college basketball man. Some of these guys are expected to play in the NBA! You seriously can not blame the coach that they shot so poorly from the free throw line.

Praise is heaped on after a win. And the opposite with a loss. Chill out.

No such game plan or scheme. Just chuck it from the outside and try to block shots. Sick of watching the carefree play.

Great coaching is based in fundamentals, free throws b- ball IQ., and Drawing up a few good in bounds plays. We have very little of that stuff.

Go ahead and defend Jones as a gameday coach.

Nobody here is "defending" Coach Jones. I think we all pretty much agree on what he is.

But, he was not our weak link tonight. The missed free throws and turnovers is what killed us tonight.

I love JJ the character man, foundation layer, and the recruiter.

JJ the basketball disciplinarian/fundamentalist, X/O HC, and lacking fieriness glare to low IQ play by his players..not so much.
