Morris doesnt look like one either based on his NC St numbers
Morris even said that NC ST basically doesn't want him anymore.

redshirt business aside, I watched all 4 of MJ's games in person. there's talent, yes, but athleticism wasn't the same as a year ago when he was a true freshman, and his arm is still inconsistent. now lsu has better weapons (we have Concepcion as our only good wr and our o-line is terrible) so he would be marginally better in BR but is he the guy you really want starting for an SEC team against SEC defenses? Most pack fans I know wouldn't agree with that.
I'd rather have nuss get Hurley started on development and bring in a good transfer that nuss can battle with. it's football; if you have a competition and one man is better than the other that's how it is

Wonder what happened. Advised by agent and/or parent to stop playing? That kind of approach doesn't feel right--would he bail when LSU needs him?--but we also don't have the full context.
He says in the article the plan was for him to sit as a true freshman, but he wound up playing with the agreement he would still take a redshirt year for development. Instead, the coach tapped him to start his sophomore season.
I get wanting to develop and work a plan, but there’s also something to be said for stepping up when the team needs you—especially as a QB.

No, which is why he won't be the starter and they aren't looking for one.

Sure in a perfect world that doesn't exist. In reality competitions are usually a formality and nobody had an issue with it for Jayden.

Anybody seen this guy play or know much about him?
Yes, offense was much better after he quit mid-year. Was never the best QB on campus at NC State
