Well those throwing programs didn’t help his accuracy. Hurley ain’t playing a down at LSU.

isn't he like 16 years old? I don't really judge anybody until they can buy lottery tickets

The more talent in the QB room the better. The best man will win and those afraid to compete will look elsewhere.

Are you assuming Collins transfers?

I'd bet my life savings that Collins transfers without significant playing time (outside of injuries). Too much talent behind him and too much talent each year in the portal.

Seems like kind of a weird deal. Was 3-1 as a sophomore starter at NC State, then told the coaches, "Yeah, I think Imma go ahead and just sit the rest of this season out. Catch y'all next year."

Have to think that caused bad blood leading to the coaches deciding "to go in a different direction."

Didn't want to leave, but NC State is moving on

Saw similar vids/posts about MJM opting out and an NC State poster said it was to not burn a redshirt year (hence stopping after 4 games)

Wonder what happened. Advised by agent and/or parent to stop playing? That kind of approach doesn't feel right--would he bail when LSU needs him?--but we also don't have the full context.

It's clearly not a move to replace Nuss. Just a solid backup who has playing experience in the event Nuss gets injured.

Or not. Maybe he’s good enough to start.

Who cares? He won't start over Nuss either way.

There should be no “safe” positions any longer in the world of NIL. Great players will transfer from lessor football Universities moving forward.
All players need to earn their spot as transfers who are “ready to play” come in.
Every year, prove your worth.

Based on what, I'm pretty sure he was rated quite a bit higher before reclassifying and had a Bama offer. He is in a rough spot coming in right before Bryce, I think he will be a good QB somewhere. Who would have thought ten years ago we would have 2 Heismans in 4 years and be a QB destination

Funny since so many were butthurt that Nuss didn't play in a terrible bowl game to save his redshirt and this kid sat out 2/3 of a regular season to preserve his.

Yea, so i guess Georgia, aTm, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas all just offered him a scholarship for shits and giggles.

You can add Ohio State and Florida State to that list.

He’s clearly not a SEC caliber QB.

You people crack me up lol

Based on the articles I read, Morris and his dad told coaches he wanted to redshirt before the season. He started his freshman season which was cut short by injury. He wanted a redshirt season to work on his development and said he would agree to give up the redshirt only if the starter got hurt.

The starter was ineffective and they started Morris. After 4 games, he said he still wanted his red-shirt as agreed upon. Then the coaches got pissy. Morris still says he wants to be at NC State but the coaches told him they are going a different direction.

I have no problem with the kid's decision if that was agreed upon with the coaches before the season. I actually kinda respect the fact that he wants to use his college years to get in as much development as possible.

I personally don't think Nuss is the answer for next year and think we should be bringing in someone who is not a "project". I don't see why we don't go after someone who can compete and even beat out Nuss. Sorry, but we don't owe Nuss anything. Let the best man win.
