Thank you Penn State. Its been a long time coming, but you finally got this one right. Paterno has been selfish up to and past the point of negligence through all of this, and worried about himself more than the school to the end. If he had had less of an ego, and more of a sense of the damage he has caused he would have stepped down Monday.

Same here. I say for him to notify the AD and to willingly know that this shite was not handled and a cover up ensued frick everything about all those wins. Young lives have been destroyed while Joe Paw worried about his win total.

Agreed.
And, Paterno would have been MORE heroic had he simply stated loudly (at the time) that he insists the police look fully into this and let the chips fall where they may. It would have been a little embarrassing at first. But, it would have removed the cancer, brought the old molester to justice, saved a number of young boys the horror, AND turned Paterno into a truly admirable person.
Instead, he chose to ignore it. Tragic. Horrific. The old bastard is dead to me.
