Jones ain't getting canned. Accept it.

Well placed sources have said as long as FKING is in and the budget crisis exists, ain't no head coach getting canned barring bad behavior.

No problem with him saying this. He's absolutely right.

Jones has fricked up this season and deserves to be called out.

God I hope LSU wins at least 5 more to prove him wrong. What an arse.

Johnny Jones buyout and salary isn't in the same stratosphere as Les Miles’. Not saying they’d do it, but it would not be close to as hard of a decision.

Plus he doesn’t have the winning history like Les and has been nationally slammed for failing this year. The backlash would not be there in the sports media.

It is incredibly stupid. It can and will be used against LSU in the decision making process. You cant say shite like that. Same as Mike Gundys dumbass in 2011
With the remaining five teams we have on the schedule, our RPI should go below 80 if we go 3-2. Maybe Alleva is trying to set the bar really low for LSU?

Joe Alleva

How this jackass still has a job is mind boggling, but unfortunately, a true testament to how things are done in Louisiana.

Say what you want about Alleva, but he had Jimbo signed, sealed, ready to deliver and he got his legs cut out from underneath him at the last minute by Alexander. If I was Joe I wouldn't give 2 shits about making hard decisions anymore, because obviously Alexander and JBE are going to lean over his shoulder anyway.

People would bash him for being honest or bash him for lobbying for his team. I applaud him for telling it like it is and not being a robot.

How would that prove him wrong? The odds of winning out are "not good" at the same time.

I'd be fine with a new AD, I just don't think people realize what ADs actually do and how they measure success. Be careful what you wish for. Our Athlet. Dpt. makes a TON of money and the smaller sports have improved a lot under Joe. We have arguably the best player in the country in all 3 major sports too.

I do not think Joe Alleva is some elite AD, I just think he gets blamed for fricking everything and gets credit for nothing.

And I don't care about him saying this. Its just the truth
disagreed. In that committee, there will be extremely tough decisions regarding the bubble teams. If we go lets say 3-2 to finsh out the season, it makes it alot easier for teams to leave us out as opposed to team B. Mentally you have the comfort of LSUs own freaking AD saying they need to win "alot of games." It is just stupid. He needs to be smarter than that

Didn't say anything about winning out. We have at least 6 games left. Win 5 of them.

A) we have to win most our games here on out? No shite

Yeah, Bama at home was a game we were counting as a win. Will have to either only lose 1 more reg season game or win the SEC tourney I think.

B) why in the Hell would you say this?

The only reason I can think of is to tell Jones "this is it, if we do not make the tourny" It is crazy how Alleva lets in house stuff out to the media IMO. You would think he would have learned it was a mistake from the many times in the past he has done it.

Then those people are fricking idiots. You lobby your arse off. Saban, who hates media, had his arse on ESPN gameday Saturday morning to lobby for Bama. Meyer lobbied like a begging whore for UF in 2008.

He said we need an RPI below 80. Which we do and we need to win most of our games remaining to get that, which he insinuated. And we can't have any bad losses.

I really don't think it will matter with the committee. I think the best thing going for us is Ben Simmons. He is a huge draw.

Holy shite I'm not saying he is wrong but what an absolute a-hole moron to publicly state that. Especially when he is on the committee

It's not like he's going to be able to have any influence when the committee discusses LSU. He's not allowed to be in the room when they discuss them.

I don't want Alleva firing Jones, this is the same AD whose first hire was Trent Johnson.
At least under Jones you can watch some talent in the program.
Yeah the coaching is sub par but the PMAC has been better than it's been since Shaq.
