It should be OBVIOUS by now that JL is our best option at QB. I think JJ should be used in goalline situations and also as a change of pace throughout the game to keep the D off-balance.

By going with JL as the starter from here on out, it will also "season" him more. If he can continue to improve game by game, this team could be right there in the hunt. But think about this, JL appears to be much improved and shows a lot of poise when leading the team on drives. Imagine if the coaching staff focused more on him and gave him most of the playing time from here on out. Next year, this team would be a "MONSTER" to deal with. The offense and defense should be notably more improved.

Les APPARENTLY has put together a better team than most thought.

so, you think jj should have been in the game for the last few goalline plays?

I dont care who starts, its about how we play. I really dont think JL cares who starts. He is a team player and cares about winning games

Not sure how much better the D can be, especially with losing drake, kelvin, and PP. 3 big time leaders there. You right about the o though.

JL opens up the offense and brings out our running game. An offense with JL definitely moves the ball down the field. JL is more of a passing threat where JJ is not.

I noticed that against Florida the way they used JJ reminded me quite a bit of how Perriloux was used in 2007.

Maybe this works better for Lee. He seems to be playing well not starting games. Maybe for whatever reason he feels less pressure and is more willing to wing the ball around than he would be if he were THE GUY and THE GUY ALONE.

Just a theory, but maybe, just maybe, the coaching staff has figured out a way for these two guys to peacefully co-exist. JL was leading the team from the sidelines when JJ was playing. It seems as though JJ is starting to get comfortable with this as well and seems to be engaged much more than he was earlier this season when JL is playing.

JJ provides a credible running threat. Lee not so much. So there are situations where JJ makes sense, but on the basis of the last 6 weeks, Lee keeps the offense in better rhythm and makes decisions quicker. Clearly handles the ball on hadoffs, tosses and, especially, passes better.

I just get a feeling that JJ knows JL is a better QB. The entire coaching staff also has to know this. JL may be benefitting from not having the pressure of being the SOLE guy carrying the offense. I think JL should get about 2/3 of the snaps.

The sad thing is that these threads have any need tyo be made at all. There is one person who has seen an LSU game that thinks JJ should start, Les Miles. Even JJ backers (hondog) have seen the light but just dont lioke having their faced rubbed in how unbelievably misguided their faith in JJ is. Two wins because of Jarrett Lee, inspite of crazy decisions by Les Miles to rotate QB's

What an original post. You must be a freaking genius to come up with such an original idea.

Painfully obvious. The chains just don't move for one reason or another. In theory (his running threat) his strong points are a positive, but in reality, the recievers don't catch his passes or the passes are short of the first down markers. The Defenses tend to load the box on him etc...
