Maybe in your personal life

and can we finally drop the age argument?

Not until you give me a list of 19 year old QBs that have won championships.

were you responding to me?

I was commenting that 1 year was enough for Less to evaluate JL enough to sit him, why wouldn't it be enough to evaluate JJ..

I so no real significant progression in JJ last year. one of the only things i saw as progress is, he stopped taking such a deep drop and allowing the D ends to come straight up field at him..

Can we all agree that while JJ did improve, he still has a lot of work to do. I'm a JJ fan and can acknowledge that fact without declaring him washed-up and incapable of getting better.

And for the record, I don't think we have to keep rehashing this. It's clear that he didn't meet some fans' expectations for improvement. I personally think he did fine, but some reasonable people are going to disagree. Some unreasonable people are going to disagree as well. Where I draw the line between disagreement and what I consider obtuseness is the argument that someone else should or will start over him. The "should" is really pushing it. The "will" is ridiculous. There's no way anyone starts if JJ is healthy and eligible.

So get behind him.

I was just commenting on the thread in general and you were the last to post at the time.

I don't think it is a matter of him winning a championship last year. It has to do with him looking confused on the field which he did from game 1 to the Capital One bowl. A QB should be in control and know the game situation, which it was obvious he did not. When are we as fans ok with squeaking by poor teams. He has not looked confortable or like a leader this whole year.

What a ridiculous argument

I guess being 20 is a prereq for being any good

No, but he'll have a complete year under his belt and 2 full years in the system. If the light doesn't come on next year we're in trouble.

I believe this thread relates to last year, doesn't apply to "age." There are times JJ looked better than others, but over all his play was consistent or worse as the year progressed. I contribute this to a number of things mainly a crappy coaching staff who is ruining QB's and the lack of an experienced incumbent QB to learn behind. But overall, no...JJ didn't improve.

Pay attention! Responded to you and Nuts4Lsu. Not LSUSUPERSTAR. JJ's stat report does't tell the story of improvement. So not sure if a response to that would serve any purpose.

Anyone who didn't see improvement is an idiot frick. I've posted the stats plenty of times and even compared his year to Jamarcus in 2005 and Flynn in 2007. Unfortunately, the majority of the people that join in on this debate are morons. OMG let's start Chris Garrett because he's obviously gonna throw 30 TDs with 0 INTs!
