Ill go along with this, however I thought this thread was about how JJ improved so much, not about CG getting to play.

It was in response to the guy saying there should be an open battle at the QB position this Spring and Fall. There should be, between Jefferson and Lee.... that's it.

Don't think that was the case. There was a reason that the rb's couldn't run worth a damn this season

Yeah, having 8 guys within a few yards of the line of scrimmage NEVER affects the running game

If they feared his arm, more holes would have been open. For goodness sakes, we barely beat 5-6 teams that didnt even go to a bowl. That is entirely on your offense, and its leader. It was far worse in '09 than '08.

Add my name. The guy is not one iota better than he was the day he walked onto the campus.

I dont have a problem with an open battle at qb this spring.
If CG can prove he is the best opotion... let him play.
I'll admit I dont see it happening, but stranger things have happened.

Prob is I can not in words express to you how much I despise that excuse.
Fact is, its over-used, over-rated and just not relevant anymore.

Which is why I bring it up every time you bash Jefferson. You're button is easy homey.

As for the excuse, it's a valid one. It's the reason why there haven't been a slew of young QBs winning national championships or Super Bowls.

The main thing I have against Jefferson is I'm not sure about his work ethic and it seems like he's not a leader on the team.

Then you'll have to ignore me, because he was far better against Ga. Tech, than Penn St., Arkansas, or Ole Miss

I guess we have fundamental difference in opinion on what constitutes "bashing" homey.

Its not a valid excuse.
We shouldnt be sitting here after 14-15 starts splitting hairs on the improvements of JJ.

This is where the coaches should have stepped in and used short routes, backs out of the backfield and TEs. Instead, we insisted on running every receiver 30+yds down the fricking field.

how the hell is mentioning that jj was in experienced, equal a boom. its reality. jj had started 2 games prior to last season. when he played bama and florida, he was seeing elite sec defenses for the first time. also, tigerlee, you did say the majority of blame for the running game is on jj's shoulders because teams stacked the box. thats when i shot down that bullshite. it is a major misconception on this board the teams always stacked the box. by the end of the first quarter, the majority me teams were stopping our running game with a 7 man front. t lee you constantly blame JJ for LSU's offensive troubles when in fact JJ ranked 38th nationally in passing eff. if you have a qb ranked that high, don't you think its another aspect of the offense thats causing the problems. see any normal person with any football knowledge would see that but u don't.

Thats what I said. Jefferson and Lee should continue to compete. I never included any other QB in the equation.

This really is ground hog's day.... the movie.

Do you know how short this list of young QBs to win a championship at any level is? Why do you think that is. In '07 we had Flynn who was a 5th year senior. His experience was practicing with the team for 5 fricking years. This year Alabama had the ginger. His experience was practicing with the team for 3 year. JJ's experience: Practicing for ONE year. No matter what you believe, it matters.

I see that a HUGE percentage of JJ's completitons last season were passes made that you or I could and should complete.

I hate to tell you dude, JJ is an athletic player playing qb.
I hope to God he imporves tremenouously over this off season and is the best in the SEC next year.. all Im saying is I dint see shite last year to lead my to that conclusion.
So No, Im not high on JJ.

For JJ this year coming up should be his first year starting as a rs sophomore. Just him and Lee got screwed getting thrown into the fire like that.

You guys are taking this way to serious. Football is just a game.

Whether Jefferson or Lee is out there, their goal is to win, the team and coaches want to win.

Bottom line is that our coaches and team have a lot of work to do over the offseason to get better. Between Jefferson and Lee, whoever works hard and improves and gives us the best chance to win needs to play.

After that, win or lose its just a game. Its not a fight against cancer, if we lose we wake up the next day and try to get better.

Some of you guys need to remember its a game.

You're funny. I know that's a fricking lie. You'd be the worst Pop Warner coach on earth. "Look here you dumb arse 9 year old. Drew Brees can check down to his fifth receiver, why the frick can't you? Arggggghhhhhh."

Believe me, I know what it is. It's the very reason I will not bash a KID for his actions on the field. Message board losers... not so much.

I guess this is another example of your 11,000 + rantardisms. You and TIGRLEE must coach on the same pop warner team. You must be glad to be an American. Always free to type any b.s that flies off your key board.
