The University of LSU and its administration will never let a student athlete play while facing a felony charge. If he pleads down, he will have to admit guilt, in which case there is no way LSU let's him play.

I agree, and I would also add that I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education such as South Africa and The Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S.- or should help South Africa- and should help The Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us.

I think Alleva said they could practice, etc., cause these are just charges.

why does everyone think that you have to pick a side? I support JJ and the team that will play next saturday. He was and still is a tiger. Way to show a kid in college support by saying you either have to be with him or against him. I can't wait to kick arse all season long with who ever is at QB. I also hope all the best for JJ.

If he pleads to a misdemeanor, he admits to committing a misdemeanor.

The University of UGA kicked him off the team for a little drunken grab-arse, and lying to Corch.

Alleva said they could practice? From what I heard yesterday Miles will probably let the JJ's be on the sidelines for games for home and away games. The team vehemently disputes all the claims from police and are upset about it and claim its a witch hunt. I think the team focuses all the energy toward Oregon. The team understands suspending them was a formality and out of Miles's hands.

Its quite clear that a large number of guys made mistakes that night and no denyig that. But to the degree is anybodys guess. Its amazing how many different stories have been floating around regarding this case.

Oh it's cause he lied then?

Like JJ lied when he said he wasn't even at the fight...or when he lied and said he wasn't involved?

All of which would be proven lies even upon a plea.

JJ is gone, learn to cope.

I believe if CPT was coach he wouldnt be part of the team (and thank the lord almighty you are not the coach).

Everyone knows that pleads are judicial procedures in other to move forward or adjudicate cases. Hell there are some judges who dont allow criminals to plead guilty sometimes (when it is obvious they are guilty) in order to face trial and get dealt with at the full extent of the law.

Pleading guilty in JJ case would not IMO be an admission of guilt persay. It would be to get out of a charge that is preventing him for being with his teammates.

Your assertation that he will never play another down at LSU as more to do with LSU QB performances that the judicial system.

I agree to an extent.. I will be surprised if Jefferson plays another down for LSU.. His best bet is to plea down and move on to another school.. I may be I'm wrong but I believe he isn't allowed to practice or participate in team activities, putting him in a disadvantageous position to regain playing time.

Actually they probably will be allowed to practice. Well thats the impression I got from radio interviews yesterday. If everything is done this year he will be back unless he is put in prison.
