How many rookie quarterbacks have thrown for 299 yards in one game this year? Blake Bortles and Teddy Bridgewater. Neither did it in their first start.

Ok guys, they asked Watt after the game about Zach and he was complimentary of Mett. He said it was a tough league and that Mett did well for his first start.

Also Zach admitted he caught so much crap over his look, he changed it completely before the game. Has the look of a young business executive now.

Pump the breaks. Met is still a goofy-looking kid. All things considered, that's still no reason to shite on a 22yo. Dude isn't thugging out or wearing flat bills and shite (like Watt and half the fricking wannabes in the league).

Navytiger have you seen the new look for Zach...it is nothing like the goofy dodgeball pic earlier in the week. Fox actually had a segment on Zach looking like QBs from the 80s in the NFL. Have you ever seen a makeover? Well Zach has had one.

I don't get the hate... Mett was acting like a kid before the game and watt called him out.

Just because a player went to LSU, it doesn't mean that they aren't a douchebag

So, having long hair, wearing a bandana and rocking moustache is "douchey"? Jesus, some of you people are insufferable. He's 22 years old making more than most of us see in 10 years of work and you critique how he looks? Joe Namath wasn't exactly sporting a business look when he played for the Jets.

It's also hilarious that JJ Watt comments this isn't high school but buys a Texans letter-jacket; pot meet kettle. I bet he wears that out to the bars in town, too.

I don't think Watt meant for this to become some kind of big deal.

Pretty sure he just wanted to give him a "Welcome to the big time" moment. And that's not a bad thing at all. Mett probably does have a little growing up to do.

That being said Mett played as well as you could possibly ask of a rookie making his first start.

27-41 299 yards 2tds 1int

Can't complain about that really.

Funny, yes JJ Watt is not exactly a look for me either, I thought we were talking about Mett, but who really cares.

Zach has a good chance in the the NFL. We will see how it goes but I live in Nashville. I'm getting the feeling the Titans have given up on Locker(combination of performance and injuries) and they know Whitehurst isn't the answer. Mett will have his chance because this year the Titans are not going anywhere and this is the coaching staffs first year.

If he doesn't or does perform they will have a high draft choice, if he does they will use it somewhere else because they need good players on defense.

Watt had 2 sacks on the day... where was JJ at on the 39 other pass attempts when Zach threw for 299 yards and 2 TDs?

And btw, that's more than what the Texan QB did.

Watt is an incredible football player.

But why does he care what a rookie QB is doing before games?

Watt sounds like a veritable funhouse to be around.

What i find funny is Mett threw for 299 yds and 2 tds. I would hate to play him when hes taking his job seriously and is more focused.
