So I guess when coaches talk to one another before a game in a situation like that they must not take their jobs seriously. I think I've even seen Mr. Personality Saban chatting with other coaches before a game.

JJ Watt is still P@ Off at LSU defeating Wisconsin earlier this year in Reliant Stadium in Texas. Do you guys get it?

Therefore, he was looking for an excuse to mess with Mett.

I generally like JJ Watt, but this sounds petty and hypocritical to me.

I could bring up those threads in 2012 where LSU fans did the same thing Watt is doing right now.

I don't know who all they where, but many people said similar things as Watt about how Mett showed up in costume that year. People even got to the point of him needing to shave his stache, because he's not being a leader and some other stupid shite.

I'm not saying it's you, but my my, how perceptions can change in only 1-2 years.

ETA: I never cared then or now, how Mett dressed or joked about.

The point is that he does all of those things to draw attention to himself, that is the exact opposite of what an NFL qb needs to be doing during his first year in the league as a 6th round backup who is only playing because of injuries on a very bad team.

Namath got away with it because he was Joe Namath, I like mett and appreciated his play at LSU but let's not go there...

I could be wrong here since I only glanced at the picture, but it didn't really look like a "selfie" to me. It was aimed downward and looked like a photographer just took it up close while Mett was sitting in a locker.

That checks instagram 60 minutes before kick off.

Life of the party right here. And props for being inside Mett's head to know why he is the way he is.

Are some of yall's homer-ness so strong that you actually care about this? Any of you that have played sports beyond t-ball probably know that you look for anything to get you motivated. I'm sure that is all Watt was doing and it obviously worked.

You are always looking for an edge or something to put a chip on your shoulder so you can get psyched up a little bit more. I'm sure a trainer or something showed him or told him about the selfie and he used it to give himself an edge. He even said good things about Mett after the game.

Jesus, some of you people that think he gives a flying shite about the LSU/Wisky game are unreal.

Yeah, that was silly.

About the rest, I don't think it's a big deal, just a douche move. If he wanted to talk some shite, so be it. I actually think a lot of those situations can be funny and motivating (I actually liked the back-and-forth that Peterson and Sherman had going on a couple of months ago). But don't talk shite under the guise of mentoring someone. If he really wanted to "big-brother" Mett, I'm sure he could have gotten his phone number.

For the record, I don't like Mett's "style" either, and I think selfies are retarded. But I also don't like JJ Watts' uber-douche aging jock look. It's just a matter of taste.

He's the best defensive player in the league. I'm pretty sure most casual football fans know who he is.

I'm wondering if he isn't actually sending some sort of message to someone on the Texans. We have a couple of idiots on the team that like to shoot their mouth off on social media.

The only thing that mattered to me was that Mett had a strong game. They didn't let him do much in the 1st half, but I think he threw for 237 yards in the 2nd half.

I don't. Know a lot about the Titans, but I've heard that the running game sucks. I have no idea what kind of O-line they have, but I've never heard of their starting RB.

Edit - Watt better be careful, because Mett is a lot tougher than your typical QB. An LSU player messed with him once and got knocked the heck out.

Yep and he got called out for it on NFL network by Terrell Davis and a few others. How you know what Metts doing on twitter or Instagram if you're not looking yourself. Nothing wrong with Mett trying to keep it loose two hours before the game. Texans are a tough defense, and titans don't have all the Personell yet I really compete. Mett played well as the game went on.

Not sure what your draft status has to do with anything but ... if I own or coach a team, the last guy I want stiff and too serious is my QB. I don't need him doing lines with JFF but he should run the offense and that means have fun and play loose.
