He probably really isn't, but regardless...you get what you demand.

It's been my theory with CJJ all along. It's not that he doesn't know how to instruct a kid to block out, or slide step on D or hedge on a screen, etc., etc. it's that he can't get his players to do it consistently. He cannot consistently affect his players as successfully as the better coaches can. At least that's what I see.

Effort IMHO should never be a question, it should be expected and if it's not their consequences.

It's been a question more times this year than I can ever remember in my 40-plus years of watching basketball. And more times than I would care for the first 3 years under CJJ as well.
