I'll go first. Both good athletes.

As another poster put it when asked why he made his post.
1. I'm an attention whore
2. I'm bored
3. I like to rant and I've almost entirely exhausted my options about things to rant about so I have to make up strange and unusual hypotheticals that will piss people off.

Both not the greatest passer but can lead the team with more wins than losses.

Both run the option...well HT ran it better. Remember the Indy bowl 40 yard run? That was awesome! JJ had a pretty run/pitch against GT in a bowl game too.

HT was the unquestioned leader of his team. JJ still earning respect of his teamates.

Tyler improved tremendously as an upper classman, so there is a WANT for JJ to do the same.

Herb was a better runner but JJ has the better arm. Herb seemed to be a quicker study as for as learning from his mistakes. Herb played with several future NFL players on offense but then again so has JJ. I'd say Herb Tyler probably wins a minimum of 20 games the last two seasons,(quite possibly more). So, I guess I'd take Herb over the JJ or JL we've seen thus far.

Herb Tyler was not better than Marcus Randall throwing the ball. Ryan
Perriloux would not even have won ten games with that defense in 08, much less Tyler as a freshman. We win six games last year with that running game and O line, and a soph version of Tyler at QB

Herb as a senior. I'd call it about equal as underclassmen/juniors. If JJ continues to progress then he may take the senior spot as well. Time will tell.

I wouldn't say Jefferson runs the option.

yes he was. well at least Herb as a sr. Herb's sr year was vastly underrated. however, I think sometimes ppl overrate his earlier yrs.

JJ is probably better than Herb at similar points. here's hoping he has his own coming out UF game this year, and big sr yr.

There is no comparison of them as passers.
