He chose this school and has made a mistake as many KIDS do. Im not saying that he should start over JL. Lets just trust CLM and enjoy the season. The Marine crap that we are hearing is BS, If you are a Marine and go to a bar and get your but whipped you cant say that they should not do that to me because Im a marine. The people that are mad just because he was a marine are looking at this wrong. Being a Marine does not make you a good person. The guy that was in the service that killed our men at Fort hood was not a good person. What would be said if our team kicked his butt?Im proud these young men can put this behind them and move on and we need to as well.

I don't hate JJ, but I think the guy does not have the personality to be a very good team player, to say nothing of his actual on-field performance.

In the grand scheme of things, I suppose you could say that JJ is a genuinely good guy who got caught up in a very weird and awkward situation the last 3 years. So be it.

I'm just sick and tired of people claiming that you're not a true fan unless you personally support every member of the team. That's ridiculous.

Nobody should be a fan of an individual just because he happens to be on a team you like. Nobody should be accused of not being a fan of a team just because they feel that it's not in the interests of the team to have a particular player allowed back on the squad.

In this particular case, I generally think that allowing JJ back is the right thing to do. But I worry about Miles's statement about him being the #2 QB very much, and given what happened in 2010, I have legitimate cause for concern.

As usual, some superfans out there need to get off their high horses.

I guess that's all I'm really saying.

I'm logging off for tonight. Peace out.

We should all support people that get carried away and kick people in the face. He's a good role model for my boy!

Your kid should not look up to football players.

Nope. But seeing as I'm on a LSU Tiger fan board and consider myself an LSU fan, I'm not going to throw an LSU Tiger under a bus simply because he's a crappy QB. And that's what it's all about for many here. They're not having conniptions over a 'bad person' being on the team. They're upset because he's less-than-stellar as QB, so it's perfectly cool with them to treat him differently than more talented players who have faced similar charges in the recent past, that's all.

he made the same mistake that JL and ZM made that night, they went out and broke curfew. Still not guilty of any crime btw.

so, for all those idiots who use the whole 'he had his chance to lead but he blew it', this could just as easily have happened to Mett or JL.

I'll be the first person to sign your petition asking for the immediate dismissal of current players who have faced a similar level of charges in the past two years. Because there's no way you can honestly support, say, Brad Wing now, can you?

Not sure about him not being a team player but just now on the news, his high school coach said he spoke to JJ. JJ said he didnt even watch the games on TV because it hurt too much. Where's his support of his team mates? Maybe I'm wrong?
