is this supposed to be tremendous growth? It seems pretty average to me.

The #10 QB in the country should be as talented throwing the ball in most people's minds, he is subpar at best as a passer, whether he is proficient at running the triple option or not

You do realize QB's have been running the ball since before they starting throwing forward passes?

His season this year is about as good as Crouch's.

In the SEC I'd take Garcia from South Carolina before Snead and McElroy any day. He's very underrated.

pshhh, you are crazy. Its dumb for people to judge him on three bad games(in which he still made minimal mistakes). To me it looks like he learned ALOT from those games and has the position figured out now. He just lit up UF's secondary. How has he not proved that he is good?

Even the most blinded Bama fan could tell that UF's defense mailed that one in.

G-Mac is a Trent Dilfer. He won't lose a game, but he won't win one either.

means absolutely nothing, where was McElroy on that list last year??..and he led his team to the NC game (with alot of help from Ingram and the D). Preseason rankings mean shite!!

Garcia had a so-so OL and running game around him. He was asked, basically, to be their offense and he kept them in games and in position to win.

McElroy is fine. He's not bad. the burden of winning the game was not on him though. he did a great job in the SECCG (with the OL blowing UF off the ball in the running game). If McElroy had south carolina talent around him there is no way that he puts up the numbers garcia did.

The modern era, dude, the modern era. What happened when LSU gave Nesbitt the intermediate and deep routes all game long and Tech lost. UGA's D dominated the LOS and took away Tech's running game this season and he couldn't offset it. He ain't the #10 QB in the college game in my book. With that said I appreciate the hard nosed way he plays the game.

OK. How many of those throws were tough? Just like when Dilfer won the Superbowl.

2001 isn't the modern era?

So what you are saying is that if a team's running game gets shut down, and if most of their passing options are taken away then their QB might struggle.

Wow brilliant.

If LSU defended most any of those teams like the did Ga. Tech that QB would struggle.

Ubi concordia, ibi victoria Did you notice numbers 3, 4, 6, 10, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21 & 22? Where these better rated field generals are positioned?

Last time I counted there are 11 on each side of the ball in this game! A true freshman supposedly knocked out JJ. Just saying!
