"pathetic" is any response from an LSU fan to the above referenced event other than being happy for an X LSU guy getting a chance to do something he has dreamed of doing and being happy for LSU cause another player who signed with us out of hi school has a pro team offering him some type of contract.

Not directing this at you, but for pete's sake..can we wake up and smell the coffee bout this and stop being such little girls!

Excellent for JL and JJ and excellent they'll be repping LSU along with all others that signed.
I wish all Tigers well in their endeavors, on and off the field, in the NFL, and in the Public, using the degree they've earned.

well he does have humility, but it doesn't make as good a story as when he says something that can be construed as him being selfish or arrogant (and I'm not saying he doesn't make such statements). but he's admitted that there were games that he could've played better, and has made some statements that let you know he knows he's not God's gift, but like his play, the things he says in the press can be inconsistent.

all that said, I hope he makes it in the NFL, but I'd be pretty surprised if he did.

It's the fact that he sucks AND has a horrible attitude AND blames others for his mistakes AND doesn't accept any responsibility AND thinks he's Superman.

I personally don't "hate" Jefferson, but I definitely lack respect for him. It has nothing to do with his talent level and everything to do with what appears to be a sense of entitlement and a lack of accountability. Good luck to him ... he'll need to grow up really fast, because I'm pretty sure his act will grow old real quick in an NFL locker room.

Could only have been better had he signed with the Falcons

He just can't seem to get the word "I" out of his vocabulary. Except for "I" made a mistake. The fact that it took a couple of extra days for him to catch on suggests that Les was cashing in whatever chips he had with Coop to keep Superman from losing his cape. Must have been crushing for those few hours when JL was signed and he was still hoping. Surely Les held him tight and told him everything would be all right.

If the kid ever showed one ounce of self-awareness and even a sliver of humble, it might change a few opinions. His handlers, family and a few coaches did the kid (and us) a disservice pumping sunshine up his backside. That much was obvious from some of the posts (and spreadsheets) on here. I don't wish him ill, but I surely can't wish him well either. Waving goodbye to his eligibility in P&G was liberating. Bring on 2012!

Link, or it didn't happen. I call BS on that one. Shall I bump the threads from The Rant where his Dad calls him the next Tebow?

If you actually think a new position coach has any pull on who the front office brings in for a workout( outside of that position), you're dumb.

One things I despise about this board is the way people toss around this phrase. Typical clueless Louisiana redneck phrase.

You are a flaming, douche nozzle, asshat, buttmunch.

I don't start threads about JJ. He is not worthy of discussion. I respond about this idea that he has been somehow victimized by the LSU fan base. That I pure horseshite.

Good god. If you think it was only JJ playing badly on jan.9th then I'll just have to ignore you when talking football. Did you not see our oline getting destroyed by 7. Not 8-9. That's a myth born on the rant to make the JJ haters feel better. They weren't overloading the box. JJ was running or his life ALL game. While JJ played poorly, everyone on offense played like crap that day. Period.

This would make sense if not for JJ being hated after the 09 season when noone knew of he was humble or what. In a season that he played well in, he was hated after it.

Why do these threads always turn into a defense of Jefferson's performance or ability? With the exception of a handful of posters, most who criticize Jefferson and bid him farewell do so because of his total lack of accountability. Yet, those defending him always fall back on "yeah, but everyone sucked on Jan 9". For once I would like to see one of the JJ-knights provide a defense for his sense of entitlement and refusal to see his performances for what they often were.

While JJ has brought some hate onto himself , he is hated more than Cecil Collins. CC raped someone and is more accepted than JJ. I'll never understand it. JJ is hated because he didn't say that he was playing like crap or that he could play better. Is that really a reason to wish ill or hate on him signing a NFL contract? Posters like rogerthescrub say that I'm pro JJ, of course I'm pro JJ. He was LSU starting qb. Just like I'm pro JLee. I've always said I wanted Lee to start but because I can see that Lee had bad games last year and was also inconsistent, I'm labelled "team JJ". It's dumb. It's like when you sign up for TD you have to pick JJ or jLee.

The fanbase did not have to listen to Collins for 3 years talking about how well he played when in reality, his performance was mediocre at best. Collins was around for a few games and then was gone ... the only time he comes up is when people talk about how good he could have been had he not been a dumbass. Also, it's alot easier to respect a person who can acknowledge fault, rather than one who feels he is above criticism. Maybe everyone should be hating on his parents or Coach Miles, because somewhere along the way, someone failed to hold him accountable.

Since when is sending 7 not loading up? 7 are supposed to beat 5. They were sending their entire front 7 every play. That is lack of concern for a QB's passing ability, plain and simple.

Uh a seven man front isn't loading the box. Sorry. I was sure everyone would know I meant our oline wasn't getting any push against just their front seven. Sorry I forgot my audience

You don't know football. I'm sorry. If you think they were blitzing 7 all game , then you see only what you want. Their front seven ( not with a safety, which is loading the box) was destroying anything we had.
