When you couple that with all the reports of him not being a leader... yes!

One thing that still bothers me to this day is last year's UGA game, when he was scared to pass it and would rather hand it off to Charles Scott.

What bothers me is that the coaching staff didn't think of this. Crowton was probably going to call some stupid pass play from shotgun formation with little pass protection that took forever to develop where Jefferson would end up getting sacked.

No its not that, its that he second guesses himself and is scared to throw it in pressure situations. He doesn't want to be the reason for failure thats why he fricking crys after every bad play. I hope he is a different young man today than last season. I just think that his hesitance to throw the ball was the reason why last year, that he would hold on to it. I am not saying everytime he held onto it is the reason, I am sure that some times there wasn't a WR open.

How many 19 year old 1st year QBs are considered the leader of the team outside of maybe Tebow?

Here we go with age, so then why do high school quarterbacks lead their team and sometimes they are younger than 19 outside of Mississippi High School Football

Sounds to me Jefferson lacks confidence. And as we all know, Lee lacks confidence. Why do both of our QBs lack confidence? What is it about Crowton's scheme that kills a young QB's confidence?

He didn't do anything any other QB his age hasn't done before. Let's just wait and see how much has or hasn't improved before we go ape shite on him this year.

BTW, you have really high standards of what JJ should've been at 19 with little experience when your 35 year old arse can't even get "cries" right on a message board.

If we are going to make our QB decision against UNC based on games that happened 8 months ago, then wtf is the point of spring/summer practices? WTF is the point of splitting time with the 1s offense?

The video, Spring practive, Spring Game, and scrimmages is what we are making our decision on

Do you have any idea how moronic this statement is? You just compared a HS QB to the starting QB at LSU. It's not even in the same hemisphere.

NO that is bullshite. They called a timeout. Crowton calls down onto the field and Gary says yada yada yada Blue 32 on 2 and JJ is like no lets hand it off to Chuck. Then GC said ok if you think so, he didn't go to the fricking line and check off to that play so I call bullshite it on you my friend

I don't disagree with you on how the play was called.

What is bullshite is you saying that he is scared to make a play. He thought the running play had a better chance to work. Good call, though I don't think even he expected Scott to rip off a TD. Jefferson has never looked scared on the field. He lays it on the line. He will run through a defender for a first down. You saying he is scared to make a play is bullshite.

Ok ahab. One more time. Lee has ALWAYS looked good in practice. How hard is that for you to understand really?

I mean seriously. How many games do you want him to play in and throw pick 6's before you change your fricking mind on him playing? It's fricking practice. He is totally different when he has a defense rushing him.

so it was okay for Lee to be smashed to pieces in 2008?
'08 Lee: 19 years old, with one year in system, throws lots of picks, team goes 8-5

'09 Jefferson: 19 years old, with one year in system, struggles to move the ball constantly and offense finishes 112th in FBS, team goes 9-4

What the frick did a 19 year old Lee do that makes the boos so acceptable, when any negative comment towards Jefferson is met with "YOU BETTER NOT EXPECT A 19 YEAR OLD TO DO MUCH!!!"

is that better, and I am not 35 I am younger than that. I don't give a shite if he was 18, there are men his age and even younger in this country that have to make more bigger decisions in life than whether to throw a ball at some one's feet 15 yards away or tuck it and take the sack. Oh and sorry didn't know you were my first grade spelling teacher, thanks slapping my hands for spelling cries wrong.

This holding on to the ball too long thing is seriously overblown. He could be quicker, but the main thing he needs to get better at is moving in the pocket, knowing when and where to step and move to avoid the pressure. But the high amount of sacks is more attributed to the play of the offensive line.

generally speaking I don't think he is. in that instance though, he pretty much admitted that he was. or not so much scared to make a play, as scared to turn the ball over. it's ok though, he was more playmaker as the year went on.

What was the time left on the clock when that play was ran? If Chuck would of gotten tackled we could of had the same meltdown as to why run the ball so far out if he would not have scored. Majority of OC's would be throwing the ball unless to setup the kick.
