Jefferson is OUR only hope and OUR starting QB

Jefferson is OUR only hope and OUR starting QB.
Some of these posters are an embarrassment to LSU. I am convinced some of these posters want LSU football to die. For some posters, they want to get rid of Jordan Jefferson even if he was a 4.0 angel, For some, they want to get rid of Les MIles, regardless of the reason. There is a small group of posters that are an embarrassment to LSU and the state of Louisiana. Outside of the state, they look like clowns. We have a QB in Jefferson who will win more games than any other LSU Qb and he is still tortured by this fanbase. We have a coach in Les Miles who is the best LSU coach since Charlie Mac, And For a mere bar fight, many of these posters would like to scar the lives of these young men. They made a mistake. These posters should not throw rocks in their own glasshouses. But, at the same time, I sympathize with the victims and the injured. If you were not there, how can you justify your opinions based on hearsay, rumors, gossip and theory. I know that Les Miles is disappointed in his players and more importantly, these families of these young men are sadden also by these events. There are many people who are affected by this event on and off the field, within the university and the families at home. Some of you have been waiting for a Les Miles incident to force him to leave or a Jefferson incident to get him to relinquish his QB duties. My hope is that neither happens and we have a GREAT season. My other hope and prayer is that the injured of this activity has a speedy recovery.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

To be sure there are a handful of posters who hold the views you describe. They are only a handful.
I would venture that the majority of LSU fans hold some or all of the following views:
1. They are disappointed that on the eve of an important season, the players would choose to go out drinking in violation of curfew. However, that alone is not a huge deal because boys will be boys.
2. However, the players--particularly the upper classmen--should recognize that with the fame and adulation comes the notoriety and that if things get out of control, they need to get lost quick. Can't have your name attached to an incident and in this day and age of camera phones, Facebook and twitter, you don't want to be caught in compromising positions.
3. Most importantly, we do not want players who would kick someone in the head while they are on the ground after being beaten up.
It's really #3 here. We're disappointed in JJ for #1 (but not too much), we think he showed lack of judgment and leadership for #2 and, if (big "if") he did what is alleged in #3, we believe he should no longer be permitted to have the privilege of being a member of the LSU football team.

I don't want LSU football to die. I also don't want LSU to loose it's dignity by using a win at all cost mentality. I'd rather be 4-8 than have my son look up to cowards that kick people when they are down, if that is in fact what happened.
