He was a good QB. If I'm not mistaken, at the time he finished his senior year, he was the SEC's all time career leader in passing yardage with around 7000ish, which was done in 3 seasons. That was pretty damn solid in those days, especially considering that stats were only counted for 11 games. Good completion percentage too. The thing with Wickersham was he didn't throw many touchdowns. Like, at all. I want to say he only had 6 one year. Didn't throw a boatload of interceptions from a numbers standpoint, but if your looking at touchdown to interception ratio, that's where the real knock on him lies. He used to sling it around pretty good, up to the red zone. Strong arm, stronger feathered hair.

He had it all physically. Seemed to spook easily though when he got pressure. No mobility. Not a blood and guts style at all. I remember being frustrated watching him play because you could see he had all of the tools but never quite shined as brightly as you would expect. If you spliced him with Hodson he would be in Hall of Fame today.

My son played with him at Christian Brothers, year ahead though. Good kid that has a Brit future ahead of him. Jeff's daughter is the one to watch first. Already signed to pitch at LSU as a Sophomore.

Good genetics in that fam. You think the boy is D1 material? My co-worker's son is 2 years behind him at CB, so he only saw him this past year. My co-worker eats, sleeps and breathes football (played college and coaches youth leagues) and he says he is the real deal...as a kid. I realize some mature earlier than others, peak out, etc., but I was told he's a player to keep an eye on.
