he was a beast on kickoff coverage last year. He struggled a good bit early, but glad to see how he's stepped up lately, especially the last two games.

Did he really struggle that much? He has always had great hands and did well in tight spaces. Big difference is Mett has finally gotten on the same page as his WRs and has been putting it into those tight spaces.

Jarvis is the man. Odell gets open but is only good for two or three big catches. He fumbles when it's pivotal to score and he muffs punts like it's going out of style. He was fine last year but this year he is below average IMO and a liability that helped on the UF loss.

My father always use to say: corner backs are wide receivers who can not catch.

He dropped a lot of passes the first half of the season.

Jarvis Landry is starting to turn into the WR we all thought he could be coming out of high school. I'm pretty excited about his potiential from here on out at LSU. He is going to be another great reciever from LSU.

He is playing great now, but he probably leads the team in drops.

He's always been better than obj. I've said this since they both came in

I think Odell does.

He's had some drops but he's certainly looking better and better each game. We were talking about his future Saturday and with Leslie coming in, if we sign RSJ and can move Jarvis and OBJ to the slot more often our offense is going to be ridiculous next year. Think about a Leslie, OBJ, Jarvis, Seals-Jones lineup with Blue/Ware/Hill/Ford @ RB.

Jarvis has always been LSU's top receiver. But for some apparent reason, we keep pushing Odell as the number 1 target. I never understood this. Jarvis has only 2 drops all season but because the rest of the receiver corps issues with catching the ball, he has been labeled also. Odell continues to drop passes and punts and LSU keeps giving him opportunities. It needs to be Jarvis Time. Put the ball in Jarvis hands and let him make magic on the field. But, it does looks like the coaching staff has finally realized to get the ball to Jarvis and let him make plays. I think Mett and Landry can become one of the best tandems in LSU's history if the coaches just call their number.

Kid fumbles once in two years and that becomes his reputation.

Clever, but hasn't he only muffed like one?? Most of our fumbles on punts have been on short punts that are bouncing and idiots don't clear out of the way of them and they bounce off of the player.

I don't know how many he's muffed but he needs to chill the frick out back there. He runs up and makes diving/sliding catches WAAAAAAY too much. It cost us 7 Saturday.

he's only muffed one, but has taken more than a few unnecessary risks back there.

understand that he's trying to be a playmaker, but it's not necessary all the time.

He definitely does this way too often and I don't know whether its good or bad. By catching them you save a lot of field position potentially. But you also risk fumbling them. He has shown he can catch them, but still, scary.

How did him diving for a punt cost us 7 points on Saturday??

The whole passing game is clicking. The online is blocking much better than earlier in the year. Mett is making better decisions and better throws. The receivers are running better routes and catching the ball when they have the chance.

And yeah, Jarvis and Mett seem to have some chemistry working right now. It is fun to watch.

We may be watching the emergence of the best QB-WR tandem at LSU since Rohan-Reed.

Well, because he fumbled the ball on the 27 and MSU promptly scored 2 plays later after the bullshite PI call on Loston.

Come on, let's not count on RSJ. Even without him, we still have Quantavious Leslie coming from JUCO. He is fast and can stretch the field. Think DByrd.

We also have Avery Johnson coming in. He is a little bit bigger than the guys we have now. The future certainly looks bright.
