landry, objectively, has been horrible today in physical testing

Yeah some posters are in denial. He looks horrible out there.

It's a shame really. A classic example of the how the combine doesn't mean shite how bad some players test.

All this means is a team in 3rd or 4th round will get a solid WR for many years to come. Nobody is more of a football player than Landry.

I absolutely agree with you. It's a shame that a 40 yard dash is more important than a collegiate career.

it's not "more important"

physical testing matters. if a player doesn't have the physical ability to perform in the NFL, his odds of performing are much worse. history is littered with dominant college athletes who lacked the physical ability to play in the NFL

and yes, you can pick out some outliers, but that's why they're outliers

He ain't dropping 4 rounds because of today. 3rd to 4th round perhaps, but he was the 5th ranked receiver heading into today. The game film doesn't lie.

He also still has a Pro Day after the combine to try to impress.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71, Boldin ran a 4.8. Larry Fitzgerald ran a 4.63. Let that sink in.

larry fitz is a lot bigger and overall much more explosive than landry has tested

he measured over 6-3 with a 35" vertical

OBJ was always going to blow everyone away and Landry would be underwhelming. However, I think Jarvis makes it to his third contract. Odell will end up going higher and will either be a flash in the pan or an all-pro. He's incredibly gifted but inconsistent at catching the football.

Pretty disappointing. I knew he wasn't the fastest guy, but I thought he'd do better than that.
