That is what he earned. Setting an NCAA record for the most number of INTs returned for TDs is what he did. I didn't make that up. And BTW, posters have called Jefferson "a failure" and "a miserable QB". But hey, I guess that is fine with you, huh hypocrite?
No it is not fine with me. Those terms are also not acceptable, but your vitriole here towards Lee has been way over the top and you either don't care or are too darn stupid to recognize it. I expect some of the idiocy that comes with posting on this board, but to see extreme namecalling that is extremely derogatory towards a young man thrown to the wolves last year really gets my goat. Until convinced otherwise, I still think the name fits you.

Lee could turn it around like Stafford did, but it will be harder for him considering he doesn't have the same physical tools.
His physical tools are nearly identical.. Both have good size, strong arms, quick releases, and throw the long ball well.

Once again, then you are ready to call out the posters who use derogatory terms which I have correctly quoted about Jefferson, right? That's great...I look forward to seeing a similar response to their posts also!

(Stafford turned out OK in the end)
Preseason # 1 last year and went down the drain!! (Being the #1 pick in draft did'nt get georgia the bcs title) But i hope the some how les could give JJ and JL playing time!

I agree with you- Tomm is an idiot! Why are you so hateful of the young man who is our second string qb? Has he ever done anything to you personally? Has he shunned your daughter? What gives, dude?

Don't like any of their post, fwiw. But, just have noticed that you seem to take a certain amount of glee in your comments. I have yet to see anyone (not saying it hasn't happened though) calling JJ "Sackmaster" or "Lockon Lafell" around here. Your comments in the post calling JL "Pick Six" when you have continued to bash him warrant your calling out. IF I notice someone doing the same to JJ I will certainly call them out.
Do folks on this "RANT" have the right to be upset with the qb play? Of course, it is a rant after all. But, I'd be willing to guess that current and future LSU players read this stuff. If I were in that situation and that age I am sure it would bother me. When making negative comments about the players, it would be in everyone's best interest if those comments were made in a more 'constructive' light if you will. The way you comment is over the top and trashy. Think about it.

Great, I will definitely mark you down for that. I'm pretty surprised you haven't noticed it if you were really so upset by such talk. I know specs1 or whatever has done this time and time again, so you can look for his posts, right, when you are really ready to call him out. Glad I can assist you by giving you a specific ID to do what you claim you want to do. Thank you!

Since you mentioned specs1, look at a previous post of mine where I 'quoted' a post of his. A great post btw, now whether he has been a basher of JJ or not I haven't investigated further. But, that particular thread of his is the type that are really well thought out without any undue emotion tied in. I do believe that at times on this board, myself included occassionally, posters get carried away in their disgust with the players/coaches or with another poster and go over the top and become destructive. In your posts about JL, that is where I think you have been and obviously I took umbrage with it. Perhaps in the future we can express our dislikes and concerns without becoming hateful. I certainly am going to try, maybe you should think about giving it a shot. Just saying......

First time posting here. I've seen this topic here a few times, and felt the need to add something to it.
Stafford was a true freshman not a redshirt. Big difference. He arrived early but was co-3rd string through fall practice. He was thrown in the fire on the second game against South Carolina without the benefit of first team reps.
Stafford didn't throw any pick 6s his freshman year. In fact, he only threw two pick 6s the whole time he was UGA. One against UF in 2007 and another against GT in 2008.
You need to do some research also. Stafford threw only one INT on his last three games. It was against Virginia Tech in the CFA Bowl, and VT had the #1 defense in the country. Stafford did not throw any INTs against AUB, who was ranked #5, or against GT.

Matthew Stafford had 7 TDs 13 ints and 12 sacks with 256 attempts his freshman year..Jarrett Lee had 13 TDs 16 ints and 8 sacks with 269 attempts his freshman year. FWIW JL had a slightly better completion percentage than Stafford, and if you take away the pick 6's their isnt much difference in the 2.

If you want to point something out, at least do your research to support your claims. While its true Stafford was a true freshman that started school early like Shep did here, he struggled with ints. throughout the year. His last 2 games had an int in each (including the bowl game)

Just imagine what he'd be like if he actually had a QB coach worth a shite instead of Crowton.

You are comparing apples and oranges again. You are trying to compare a true freshman (Stafford) with a RS Freshman (JL) with one full season, a spring camp, and two full fall camps under this belt.
If you want to make this comparison, compare it to Stafford's second year with the team (like JL's). The comparison will make JL look like crap.

Both lee and jj got worse as the season progressed. Why?
Gee I wonder why. J Lee started to get worse when he went up against Florida, UGA, and Bama. JJ had his worst outing against Florida. Maybe it has something to do with the defenses they are facing.

So you're saying that you don't think JL will be the No.1 pick in the draft? I guess anything less would be a FAIL. The comparisons are not to say that they are equals, but that JL could mature, learn from his mistakes(looking down the receivers across the middle), and be productive enough to win with THIS DEFENSE. Just give him some game snaps to see if he can move the team like last year, w/o the picks.

Matthew Stafford (with INT's) >>>>>>>> Joe Cox
Jarrett Lee (with INT's and pick 6's) <<<<<<<<<<<< Jordan Jefferson

UGA had no other options except Stafford. LSU has plenty of other options besides Lee.
