It's really not even that terrible. It's obviously not good but if it's a 4.59 it doesn't look nearly as bad. If he can break into the 4.5s at pro day he should be fine.

what are you talkin about?? I am just bringing news to the site like everyone else. I'm letting y'all know what Jalen ran! But I think Jalen will be a solid pro for years and not just 2 to 3 years like someone was sayin. lol

LSU switching him over to safety has giving him extra value as he can now play multiple positions something that is valuable in the NFL.

Norman is an outlier. There aren't many CBs with bad 40 times, so yea it is pretty important.

That said, 4.61doesnt doom him at his size

The guy got consistently beat at the most crucial times in games when we needed a stop. I mean do you guys seriously have that bad of a memory? Who did Justin Scott Wesley burn in 2013 in the UGA LSU game???? Who got burned in the Ole Miss game???? Who got burned in the MSU game last year? Come on people, it was Mills....

I never saw anyone run past him. He was easily one of the top two corners at LSU every year he was here.

Man, talk about purple and gold glasses. He wasn't bad, but he was not a top two corner any year he was here.

And I was sitting in the end zone watching a UAB wideout burn him a couple of times, so pretty sure he had players run past him.

And before you apologists come out, you remember a lockdown consistent corner? Claiborne, Peterson, 2007 team was full of them, Chevis Jackson for instance, come the frick on folks....

What does any of that have to do with Jalen Mills moving forward in his career?? Yes, he got burned on some plays in his LSU days, but Jalen Mills wasn't all bad like you are tryin to make him out to be. He made some good plays in his career also. But hell he played more safety after his freshman and early soph seasons. He'll get coached up now going into the NFL better than he ever was at LSU with whatever NFL team he winds up with. As I said I think he'll make a solid pro. If Danny McCray can make it Mills damn sure can.

Jalen Mills will be a value in the NFL I don't care what the hell you say. He can play corner, nickel and free safety. NFL heads like that.

he will be out of the league in 2-3 years. Not good enough to play corner and not an elite safety either. Good luck to him

Go check out other S 40 times yesterday...

He'll be fine.

What sort of world are we living in where a four-year starter, potential first-round pick with no history of off-field issues gets torn to shreds by his own fanbase?

He was the starting CB when you created you screen name, so I figure you thought he might have been decent back then.

My name represents the great tradition we have. Players such as Patrick Peterson, Tyran Mathieu, Chad Jones, Eric Reid, Mo Claiborne, Laron Landry. Jalen Mills isn't on their level.

I think he made a smart decision. His career hasn't been as good as he would have liked it to be. Although solid he's been average sometimes out there getting beat surprisingly a lot. He can develop into that shutdown corner this last go around as he has seen everything there is to see and be a first round pick for certain next year.

Nobody here is arguing otherwise, but your bullshite criticism of Mills is unwarranted. Mills has been a solid player at LSU, but you would make it seem as if he is garbage and you're full of shite.
