Obviously when it happened I’m not sure anyone really thought it be that big of a deal. With two of our guards out he would’ve been huge for this team. Dude is killing it a Tulane averaging 20 ppg and 43% from 3.

Never understood why he didn’t play more last year

Tulane has the most conference wins they’ve had in a decade with 7 games still to go. He will be in the running for AAC POY

Of course it did.

He is a capable point guard.

A player who will make the right pass and make the right shot.

Not out of control. Wade didn't want to give him any mins.

He would help because he's a point guard and we wouldn't have to play justice but I mean are we really gonna act like Cook killing it on a 10-10 Tulane team means that he would have the same success here.

It’s easy to say this when they have been missing Adam Miller for the entire season and Pinson has been banged up.

If those two are healthy, Cook would’ve had no minutes.

I know you have a crush on your butt buddy, but let’s be honest Lester, where are the minutes coming from?

If your lineup was fully healthy this year it would’ve probably been to start

Pinson
Miller
Murray
Days
Reid

At the 1/2 these guys are getting 90% of your minutes:

Pinson
Miller
Gaines
Murray (plays 2 at times)

You know that’s true. That’s also assuming Justice Williams actually would’ve redshirted if Miller was healthy and Cook was still here.

Cook is better than pinson & Gaines. If he could have recognized Cooks talent he would not have had to recruit Pinson

Anyone think he would be better off if he chose football? Not many people his size make it to the NBA

Cook is 100% not better than Gaines in the role that Gaines was supposed to play on this team.

Gaines was not going to play 30 minutes a game if Miller and Pinson were healthy. He would’ve given you 15-20 a night of much better defense than Cook would’ve played. You could’ve also played him off ball and let Miller handle the ball a little bit as well.

I am not saying that Cook isn’t a decent player, but your obsession with thinking he’s an all SEC talent is a little off in my opinion.

Wade barely played him last year even though good things usually happened when he was on the floor.

Wade has decided to stick with am 8 player rotation! This is a killer because too few bench players got playing time during the pre-SEC games. Coming back to burn the Tigers now because lack of playing time for the subs has led to a "burned out" team and guys playing now with a lack of substantial experience on the court. Always have felt that his philosophy of playing time and subbing pattern, or lack thereof, has hurt the team each season.
Cook left because he wanted playing time, not bench warming time! Expect to see that happen again at the end of this season.

He played 9 players last night.

Tell me which player that didn’t play last night you would’ve liked to see?

You can always use more shooting.

He would've been the backup point.

This I agree with. His shooting would’ve helped.

I don’t want this to seem like I am against Cook, I hope he does well. He wanted to be the guy and take 15 shots a game, that’s why he’s at Tulane. That probably would’ve never happened here. At least not in his first couple years.

Who said he was All SEC ? Lol

He’d be the best shooter on the team fairly easily & that alone would have him playing 25min a night

Easily is as good of a ball handler as Pinson & clearly better than anyone else after that

In our current situation, yes, he would be playing 25 minutes.

Also, how do you know Cook didn’t already plan to leave before Pinson was coming?

With Miller healthy I don’t think he gets 25 minutes. Like you said in the current situation he would
