With the push by the NFL about domestic abuse, may have a little to do with Mills coming back? JMO

Anybody else thinkJ Mills goes back to CB? I think that may end being his position in the NFL. Let Rickey Jeff, Thompson, Cutrer and some of the other youngins battle it out over that other safety spot. No matter what, our mustang group has the potential to be 2011 nasty.

Agreed. NFL is all about size and measurables and Collins will have that. I think he is a 3rd rounder and could have a decent career. NFL is starved for good, long DBs. We shall see

Eta- super pumped Mills is coming back. Huge need

I get it; you don't know WTF you're talking about. Both of them are excellent players, and it was apparent two years ago that both these guys would make pro rosters. Collins just completed his fourth year at his natural position, while Mills has completed his third year at a his second best position.

I think Mills and Collins are corners of similar abilities. Unfortunately for Mills, he's played out of position because of team needs.

I have always disagreed with anyone's leaving that isn't a number one pick. I cannot blame Collins. In my opinion he has not been given the respect that he deserves. Personally I think he is a safety. Having said that, it always puzzled me why a guy with problems like Rashard Robinson started ahead of Collins, and that could happen again next year. Good luck and thanks for your hard play and determination.

It's not gratitude. Mills has potential to be a high S pick. It was his first season there and he showed a lot of glimpses that he can be a great S. He needs to be more consistent though. I guess adding versatility to that fact he was a pretty good CB will help his stock too.

He's got great NFL measureables and has done all he could this year to raise his draft stock. Smart decision by him.

This seems more like Mills just wants to come back because he loves LSU and wants one last time to win something big in CFB. That is always great to see.

He is the SS correct? I think that'll be great for us with his experience and Adams' playmaking abilities at FS. Add in one of Cutrer, Toliver or Paris to start the year off opposite of White, and that secondary is game one ready.

Think if Hunter, Kwon, Vadal, and Hawkins come back. That means we'll return the entire WR squad minus Leslie, the starting RB, the QB, the starting TE, 3/5ths of the OL, 3/4ths of the DL, the entire LB trio, and even if he didn't start unless only at nickel, basically 3/4ths of the secondary with Adams.

We would bring back 16 starters. IMO if Harris gets his stuff straight, we could kick some serious arse next year.

Hell yeah I'll take it. Mills is going to be one of if not the best safety in the conference next season and we're stacked at corner

For Collins, I assume this validates speculation that Robinson will be back. His stock also is not getting much higher. Don't understand Mills. Very weak safety class and we're deep at the position. Could be gratitude to Les for sticking with him during the legal process.

Spoke to Jae (Mills) on Friday.. He told me that he wasn't going to leave... CLM has A LOT to do with his decision but also, he absolutely loves college and Baton Rouge... However, more than anything, he wants to win it all next year and he thinks they have a chance

From what I gathered, he had his mind made up halfway through the season
