And they all have bought up the field goal bull shite! I'm curious to know how all these experts know how the game still wouldn't have amounted to an LSU win if Bama mad the field goals. Games do change in a sense of urgency to score. This stuff is getting ridiculous. Cannot wait untill Monday. And yea, I'm mad.

they didn't make the field goals, so they didn't win. End of discussion.

I agree with the OP 100%....had they made the fgs we most probably would have had more of a hunger and playcalls to score a TD or two instead of fgs of our own.

We are LSU,did you forget?

Alabama's kickers are 2-12 in FG attempts of 37 yards or more for the season.

It would take around 18 attempts for Bama to make 3 of the field-goals they attempted on November 5.

This can't be repeated enough.

I wish they would have made 1 .... and LSU ran the kick back for a score!

... they bitch around the Eric Reid INT too..... so, if they score there and we make a drive or return that kick the whole game changes.

I do wonder how they can compartmentilize and ONLY see that they missed opportunities.... REALITY is LSU had chances too that "shoulda, coulda, woulda" been more points.

Screw 'em -- LSU won and if we have 1 more point Monday night --- we'll have won again.... no matter how it plays out to get there.

I feel this will be a blood-drenched weekend in New Orleans. The acrimony between the two fanbases was brought to a boil by Collins' hijinks.

Show em this brah...end of discussion if they believe in real statistics (but they are gumps, so who knows if they believe in real things)

2 for 12

Alabama's kickers, for the year, are two for twelve in field goals of more than 37 yards. *Let me repeat - Alabama has attempted twelve kicks from outside of the redzone this season, and only two of them have gone in. The one for four performance against LSU wasn't some kind of crazy statistical anomaly - they were one for eight in their other games, and the LSU game actually significantly improved their distance kicking average for the year. Based on their average for the entire season, it would take about 18 attempts for Bama to make 3 of the field-goals they attempted on November 5.

Remember this when they shank every mid-to-long range attempt in the Championship game and people act like its LSU getting lucky again.*

My response when I hear this is 'Well if LSU would have scored a TD on every drive then you still would have lost"

Because that makes about as much sense as pretending that FG's were made, not missed. So stupid.

Gumps look at points they left on the field, which would be 9. The blocked FG was blocked, that is not points left on the field. The INT was legit, stop crying. So I'll give them 9. LSU left points on the board too, we didn't get a TD before half, would have IF time continued and then of course there is the......... SEE HOW STUPID THIS IS GUMP!!!!

Alabama 'left points on the field' so did LSU, but we put more on the scoreboard. Those are the ones we count

Plus 1000 plus the wind was blowing against these FGs at a rate of 10-15 mph. The people I know that were there told me they were stunned Satan wa attempting this FG becuase they were out of the Kickers range and into a stiff north win. They are bama fans btw

Lol. I still don't understand how getting to the Red zone once in a game means they almost won.
