It's time to stop beating ourselves

It feels to me that we have had one of, if not the most stressful team to watch in college football over the past few years. We've had so much talent, yet very little to show for it. It seems as though in most of our games we have had crucial plays let us down in crucial moments.
We allow 3rd and longs so often, yet we rarely manage to convert a 3rd and short when we need it. We have perfect second half defence against bama but we are unable to defend a last minute drive. We allowed a non athletic QB to run for a 50 yard TD but we couldn't manage to score on a first and goal at the 1. We somehow manage to screw a kick off against bama with 50 seconds to go. Kickers slot 50 yard FG but miss a 25. Receivers dropping easy catches on 3rd down. Play calling that even Stevie Wonder could see coming.
Now I know these do occur in Football and we are not the only ones who make mistakes but most of these can be prevented and I can't help think how good we could be if we eliminated half of these. I don't mind losing games when we are simply beaten by a better team, but there is too many games we are beating ourselves.
I will be very disappointed if we have more than 1 loss in the SEC this season as I don't believe there is a team we shouldn't beat if we play to our ability. The success of this team will once again be decided by our own actions. With lower expectations and new defensive staff I got a good feeling we are in for an exciting year.

I apologize, I'm a little frisky this morning
Back to your topic, the fact that Chavis is no longer associated with this team will help alleviate a lot of our problems

Why do you think Chief is gone?
Don't get me wrong, he fielded some great defenses in his time here, but it's about time for him to go and frick up someone else's 4th QTR leads.

You can blame chavis for going full retard in the last minutes of a close game

Naive at best, there are a number of "experts" across the country predicting everyone in the SEC having at least 2 losses.
I don't disagree with the premise of your post, but the fact is most of us don't watch a ton of football outside of LSU, and what we do watch, we watch without the emotional investment of watching the Tigers. When a coach botches a time-out we're up mixing another drink vs. throwing shoes against the wall.

If we lose to auburn I don't see auburn losing another game in the SEC. You can call it naive but I'm saying LSU could beat anybody On its day and yes it would take near perfection, but there isn't much room for error if you want to be NC worthy (hence the post). So I'm sorry for being a little optimistic but I'm not gonna base my happiness around a 3 loss season yet.

Does coaching have anything to do with this?

Honestly what I do in the privacy of my own home is none of your business.
