It's one man's opinion, but maybe the most disheartening telltale sign yet...

Intangibles
I’d like to think that since this is a home game at Tiger Stadium – a Homecoming Game, no less – LSU would have a huge advantage in the intangibles category, but it just doesn’t feel that way to me. I say that not only because LSU’s home crowd hasn’t been its most intimidating lately and probably won’t be at full capacity tonight, but because this game is a really big one for Troy. As Coach O said Wednesday night during his radio show, “it’s like their Super Bowl.” This, along with the fact that LSU has several key injuries and Troy gave LSU quite a scare in the previous two meetings, is enough for me to give the Trojans an edge here.

I don't care how hyped up Troy may be, when an inferior program coming into Tiger Stadium has the perceived edge in the "intangibles" column, that's frightening. So is the fact that these guys really think they can win.

I'll probably get downvoted but I agree 100%. Don knew the game from the inside, from an officials perspective and his insight was usually spot on.
Scott just doesn't have that skillset at is disposal.

I agree with Scott. A half empty Tiger Stadium is hardly intimidating.

All major college football programs have rent-a-win home games on their schedule that do not excite their fanbase.
For the rent-a-win teams, its always a big game on their schedule because they get to play on tv in a big college stadium.
Every once in a while a rent-a-win team pulls an upset. Nothing has changed in that regard from prior years.
These are the games where you can play uninspired football, have some bad breaks and still better win.

the team is struggling and has a new offensive scheme as well as some key injuries. this has caused quite a shaky start to the season.
AND, this team has terrible fan support. I mean TERRIBLE. our fans don't deserve a winner.

The fans in tiger stadium do NOTHING to help the team by leaving so early! It also hurts recruiting! Your money. Leave when you want. Just know you are hurting the team you are there to support!
