Walking from my tailgate through the parade ground to Slink's after the game, it was essentially spotless out there.
I did the exact same walk and saw something completely different.
This is the area I am talking about. And it wasn't just this week, it was last week too. Next week I'll take some pics.

I mean, obviously there was SOME trash. It didn't look like Beirut, as some would like to believe.

The sad thing is you think I'm joking....
Ask around to the chapters on probation and what they did. I know my fraternity got on probation my senior year (I was pledge Ed), because we had weekly pledge only meetings, sober drivers (which pledges were allowed to use too), a pledge retreat, initiation rituals that required they be at the house studying for a few days (seriously), and yes even making them set up the tailgate.
I got to talk to my dean, was threatened with not graduating, they put us on probation for a year, the national fraternity came in and gave us a review. And now the chapter advisor hates me

ow about just being responsible and not deliberately trashing the campus that you supposedly love?

You must be old. Now a days that would be considered dangerous hazing, the president and pledge Ed would be out on conduct review by the university, and the Fraternity would face a 2 year probation with a national membership review as well. Not to mention it would probably make USA Today headlines for egregious fraternity misconduct
Better not infringe on that free speech though and make sure you criticize the cops for requesting offensive signs be taken down

Good try, you dumb shite; but I would assume that rednecks aren't playing loud speakers.....let alone techno music.
Think before clicking 'submit', next time.
ETA: LSU puts out public announcements all the time about parking lot and lane closures. How easily can they get the word out that fines can occur from littering?
Additionally, cops have decibel meters. They can end that pretty quickly, if they want.

That's exactly the area I was talking about. It was beyond "there wasn't enough trash cans". It was "Luke and Han in the Death Star trash bin" bad. Completely embarassing.

Adding trash duty to the list of things to do would be the tipping point for hazing?
Nevermind making them sit out there during the two downpours the last two fridays and keep the tents upright an dry.

Me.
Our tailgate was left spotless the last 2 games.

Fiji is the frat by the Indian mounds btw

Somehow it all magically disappears by Monday. Obviously the issue is already being addressed and thus no need for further intervention.
LSU and the state partner to literally employ penitentiary people to clean up the mess every week after a game during the wee hours so everything looks pretty Sunday morning. This is common fricking knowledge. Quit bitching about it being "messy" because do you really think a bunch of drunks are going to clean anything up? Whether it's fraternities or your drunk uncle the controls are in place to make LSU look beautiful again, it doesn't fricking matter if 100,000 people know how to use a trashcan or not.

The DCI guys love it. Too much work for State Police Barracks to handle, So the yard crews do it. I bet you wish you could in TS on a sunday with 20 of your closest friends sometimes( just not in green with DCI screened on your leg)

I think it's a reasonable expectation..if you, my drunk uncle or anyone else gets so drunk (repeatedly) that they can't be expected to even remotely pick up their own trash, thats kind-of a problem
Posted on 9/16/13 at 3:37 pm to LSUfan4444
I tailgate at multiple spots right around the indian mounds. That group is far from redneck and for the most part, does a great job of cleaning their own stuff up.
Hell, one of those groups even hires a student to pick up all day during the tailgate until right before kickoff.

Well, with this kind of thinking.....let's not have any littering laws at all. We can pay em to pick up on the sides of the roads too.
