Personally I love our school, our team, and will never become an ap

There is legitimate reason for the LSU fan to be somewhat concerned. There is no reason for the LSU fan to jump ship.

Some of you need to realize dissent isn't jumping off the bandwagon. When Les Miles received elite pay, expectations also went up and the fan, many expect to be in contention for the SEC title. Not beating Houston Nutt in three years, Meyer and Saban in two are a bit disconcerting.

I don't want Miles fired. I want Miles to have a team that will contend for the SEC title in the next couple of years.

When Miles received his raise, expectations on Miles rose.

I bet most of the whiners on here don't even attend the games and probably never been on campus.
The opposite is true from what I have gathered. The majority of the blind support clowns didn't attend LSU, do not own season tickets and have never given a dime to TAF. But it doesn't stop them.

I've got an idea. As fans, let's just wipe each other out and let Bama take over the conference! Seriously, I thought we were all LSU Fans. Let's try and act like grown ups. Facts are we have a very good team that is led by a 19 year old young man, who I expect to be a great player. I don't know many teams that show the kind of heart we do every game. These guys have suffered some tough losses during games that they could have won if the chips had fallen for them. I will always support our coaches, even if they don't bring the glass ball home every year. He has character in my opinion, and will learn from his mistakes. Remember how much we loved him when he won the BCS?

I haven't had this much legroom since Saban melted down in the Cotton Bowl in 02.

I'm always perplexed by people who want to see the demise of the program to weed out the bandwagon fans

If you're a real fan like you claim you wouldn't be taking such delight in the downward spiral this program could be potentially taking.

In short, you're just not very intelligent.

This is not a new phenomenon. Except for certain games (e.g. Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, etc.) even back in the seond half of the 60s Tiger Stadium would start emptying out after the third quarter. Also in the 1st half of the 70s and the first couple of years in the 80s.

How would I know? I was there, and yeah it's pretty lame. A true fan stays the entire game and doesn't leave until after the Tiger Band leaves. The beat the traffic mentality and let's go party isn't the hallmark of a Real Tiger Fan.

That being said, I am not a posiMiles, nor am I willing to settle for mediocrity, unlike some of you. LSU should strive for greatness in all endeavors, and anything less than that is also not a true Tiger fan.

We have some great home games next season, and if the stadium is full of true die hard fans for those games, the house will be rocking. It might even stay full the whole game. Oh yeah, and all of you whiners really need to get over a meaningless loss and go frick yourselves.
Hopefully it won't take us the whole game to put McNeese away.

I agree with this part of your post wholeheartedly. Moreover, I don't think anyone wasnts the team to be mediocre.

To me the phrases "accepting mediocrity" or "settling for mediocrity" implies that you have direct impact on how the team does and chooses not to do it. Fans, just through the nature of things, do not have this control. They don't put in the hours of practice or the hours of game planning.

Sure, everyone has a right to their opinion and I actually enjoy reading the different viewpoints. But it does come across in some instances as whining. It's kind of like the guy at work or school that is assigned to a group project and their only contribution to the project is "critiquing" other peoples work. Or like the parents of a kid at the little league park that bitches his kid out for swinging or not swinging without having to be up there making the judgment call himself.

No trying to put anybody down here. Just tryig to explain why some people see the complaints as whining. To me the best thing a fan can do is to be a fan. Yell, scream, cheer for the players. Or be like the guy that made the Patrick Peterson windmill for Gameday.
