It's fundamentals....it's not scheme

Guys, it is a lack of the basic elements.
That makes it more damning than any offensive scheming. It's the things coaches like Saban harp on and thrive with.

Literally any problem goes back to coaching at this point.

I agree one hundred percent.
Obviously no standards apply. You play how you are allowed to practice! We are sloppy and poorly coached

Simple oline form and function: foot placement, leverage, simple playbook study
Catching: if it hits both hands there's no excuse
Tackling: just watching Bama amazes me
Passing: well, we all know the QB development issues but this is tied to hamstringing the support roles around the QB
Discipline: maintaining decorum of a winner and the role of leader. The players are not his kids nor his buddies, they are his players first and foremost.

We've got lineman running the wrong way to block. we have linemen blocking air and we have linemen whiffing time after time, as well as getting beaten by defenders just plain running around them. You won't compete much in the SEC if your left tackle can't block players who just run around him.

Its both. Dont kid yourself.

Lack of fundamentals and poor scheme are not mutually exclusive and are both signs of poor coaching.

Don't give a rats arse what it is. I COULD HAVE coached that team and scored more that 7 points with the offense.
If you don;t think so you are fooling yourself. Its coaching plain and simple:
1. Not utilizing your QB effectively.
a. No running plays.
b. No short quick pass plays.
2. Poor scheme
a. Need more 3 WR sets.
b. Need to involve TE in passing game.
c. See *a* in item 1 QB has to run some.
3. Poor OL play.
4. Poor ST play.
At the end of the day its coaching.

We have to be more precise with our current offense. Execution has to be almost perfect, can't afford penalties etc. If we had a better scheme we wouldn't have to rely on being as fundamentally sound as we need to be now

He just said "some elements". Sorry it wasn't very clear. I agree we have fundamental problems, but scheme is a huge problem too.

Gonna have to disagree.
Look at Florida State. They screwed up on fundamentals all night. Numerous false starts that killed drives, several dropped passes by the WRs on key moments, including would be TDs. Missed assignments.
Yet they still beat a strong SEC team and put up a ton of points because of in game coaching, adjustments, and a dynamic offensive scheme.
If that had been lsu against Ole Miss, nothing would change from the opening toss dive and we would have been blown out.

Well...
It all points to coaching right?

So change the coaching

If you watched the LSU game and pretty much any other game played last weekend and still think it is not scheme there is no reason to argue this thread.
If my pass blocking wasnt holding up I'd stop running I form play action keeping my qb from look for receivers with his back to the play over. Just one of the many examples

The OP came straight from a Miles press conference: "Our plays arent the problem, if the players would just execute we'd win."
