It was a chaotic time that we're past now. Maybe he needed it, maybe not. In hindsight, it seems to have been best for the program with all the recruits, new DC, and returning players

Still need to see if Les lets go of the offensive reins.

We did lose Frank Wilson, which sucks.

But yes, seems like we got things going in the right direction.

He fulfilled his dream to be a HC and we don't have to compete against him. I'm fine with this.

And F Franks. This recruiting class will be great either way but we could really use a QB somewhere in there. But overall, things could not be much better since the shite storm.

Well yeah I'm not saying that Wilson left us out to dry or whatever. Not begrudging him at all. But losing 1 of the best recruiters in the nation, arguably the best, is a tough loss.

Now, thankfully we have Ed O now who is also a great recruiter. We are in as good of shape as we could be to lose Wilson from a recruiting standpoint. But its still a tough loss.

I dont think he is off the hot seat, if that offense looks anything like the last two years, he should go, and quickly.

I think he has to be in Sugar Bowl at worst for him to keep his job. He has a loaded deck right now.

yep. And everyone seems to have their head in the sand and are overlooking it. And November is apparently long forgotten.

But irrational optimism is par for the course on this board.

I swear I saw Les holding the play card "menu" during the TX bowl midway through the second when the offense started to struggle.

Going into the 3rd he wasn't holding it anymore when the offense really started to dominate.

Who knows if this is accurate as to what is exactly happening except it seems that way.

Anyway, I did read somewhere that Les brought in some outside consultants to work with the offense during the offseason.

god, I hope this is a joke.

He's the freaking head coach and with his OC they get paid > $5 million. Why do you need outside consultants to tell you how to do your job?

I look at Cam being on the sideline in the bowl game as a positive change that paid immediate dividends. If this continues, it's a significant acknowledgement by Les that the offensive status quo isn't good enough.

Yes, things have been mostly all positive this offseason.

With everything falling into place, I'm sure even idiot pumpers like Beefense will acknowledge that Les has no excuses for 2016.

Isn't that right, Beefense?

I'm happy, but let's see what happens against bama, ole miss, Florida and Arky. If I were Les I'd try real hard to win 3 of those

The problem has never been with the talent, or the defensive assistants we've had.

I'm stoked, but let's not act like our offensive struggles have gone away just yet. The guy was this close to being fired last season, and was saved by an overbearing chancellor.

Until the offense/QB gets fixed, we'll be having the same discussions every offseason. Overjoyed at the talent, dismayed at the results.

Well Alabama has several consultants that work with the team on both sides of the ball.

WIth that said, I can't find any article online that states Miles actually brought in consultants. So I don't know where I read that. [maybe I dreamed it]
