What do these guy have to be loyal to? Non of them are from Louisiana. The coach that got them to come is gone. I guess you want them to be loyal to an administration that had them practice in a facility with a leaking roof, or have no hot water after a home game, or had them walk across the street to lift weights. The administration has neglected the Basketball program for years so why are we surprised when the only reason the players came to this school is fired the players leave.

Well their loyalty was to Wade not LSU. Since he's gone there's no reason to stay.

They weren't loyal to LSU. And contrary to what some posters may think, they weren't loyal to Will Wade. They're not leaving because Will Wade was fired. They're leaving because the Wade Money Well has gone dry and the postseason ban is coming, all due to the actions of Will Wade himself.
It's a double whammy when your coach is both dirty and stupid. They're not sticking around to deal with the aftermath of what their coach wrought. I don't blame them.

That's fine. The group of players weren't winning anything. Would rather start over with the Murray State model, who would have destroyed us had we played them this past year.

No way of knowing this at all. They beat the teams on their schedule but their schedule was also arse

Did the new Coach not want any of the current players? They were good enough to make the NCAA tournament, after all!

Considering we will not have a postseason ban unless we self penalize ourself next year, why half of these guys are leaving is odd to me
The AD, justified or not, left the team out to dry for the tournament.
Think of it from the players' standpoint. Had they let Wade at least finish out the season, there might have been some goodwill leftover with the players.

don't follow college basketball like that. Has this ever happened for any school? These kids act like we are about to be SMU'd.

Good. I could smell the stench of the program. Glad we are tearing it down and starting with fresh blood

They weren't loyal to Wade. You're dreaming. Their ONLY loyalty is to themselves and an opportunity to the NBA. The Nc2A sanctions are what drove them away. Until that is dealt with we'll be fielding a championship AAU caliber team. This just has to settle. I suggest we stop expecting the same as the past when the present doesn't resemble the past and won't for 3 years or so.

Yep. They were all smiles days following. They got their money. They don’t care about Wade or anyone else.
McMahons kids seem loyal to him. Kids he recruits are loyal to him apparently. And guess what? He went to tournament more than not.
