I agree we were outplayed, but the real issue is that the Bama offense didn't make any mistakes. A TM7 interception return for a TD, and Bama starts playing differently--leading to more mistakes and more defensive points. As it was, Bama never had to stray from their original game plan.

Also, JJ is an awful sack of shite QB who should have been pulled after he dropped the snap on the opening play...

I wish I new the story behind JL because there had to be more than what we heard or saw.

Some part of me want to know and some part don't. Last night was an end of the JJ and JL saga. This coming season, will be the era of Mettenberger and Randall, maybe even Rivers, so maybe it's best to close this chapter quietly so fans can stop bickering amongst each other and be united in cheering on the new guards of LSU.

The whole team played awful. One player wasn't going to change anything.

Really because I thought the defense played great.

You guys are jerks for saying JJ lost the game. It was the GAMEPLAN. You are also idiots for thinking that Lee would have won the game. He showed what he would do the last game. 2 throws and two interceptions in a row. Cmon...bama was just better.

If JJ had hit Landry on that one pass, the whole game could have changed. All someone had to do was provide a spark. Bama only led by two scores until late in the game. The team needed a spark, and JJ didn't have it.

It's not always about putting in superior players, sometimes it's making your ream believe you are doing something for them.

Les let the whole team down last night. Not just the QB situation either.

I don't agree with the "let em Down" talk. But I do agree with the rest of your post.

Alabama put together a new and effective gameplan because they have a quarterback capable of implementing it. LSU's choice of gameplans was limited by the capabilities of its starting (and apparently unbenchable) quarterback.

The 13-0 and #1 team in the country was the ONLY team to be shutout this season by Alabama, and the only team in the history of the BCS National Champuonship game to ever be shutout.

I really don't care to hear Capt Crunch's excuse on that debacle of epic proportions right now.

I don't mind losing to the better team (Alabama) but I do mind being embarassed on national telivision like we were embarassed last night.

Another thing to consider is that, if JJ had been pulled at some point, maybe he could have gotten his head together and come back in later. Or maybe Lee would have gotten the offense rolling. Hell, maybe we might have had to go to Mett.

We'll never know, though, and that is what I am upset about. Do something, anything except staying with an ineffective gameplan and QB.

The Defense played well enough to win the game, they got no help from the Offense. Any defense that stays on the field for that long is going to get tired.
