We could be Ole Miss. Just watched the end of their game. Similar scenarios, up big 30-10. Took their foot off the pedal and let the mighty Gamecocks of Jacksonville St come back and beat them in their own stadium.

We are 1-0 no matter how you look at it. It is still way too early to start folding on this team. Go back and watch the replay, LSU dominated for 3-1/2 quarters you have to admit. They held strong and are moving on.

In other words, DON'T JUMP!!

This is true.

Sunday morning, I took the hotel shuttle to the Atlanta airport. The driver asked me why I was so down. I asked him if he had seen the game. He had.

He said, look, you got a win. Doesn't matter if it's by one or one hundred. It's a win. Then he said he was from Oxford. He added, "we can't say we got a win."

His point was well taken. I'm still worried, but it could have been worse.

Focus on beating Vandy. Ok. One week at a time. If LSU shows serious improvement in play, in game plan, etc. I'm good to go. If not...

If Florida played the game they played against UNC they would have lost.

They looked awful against a terrible team.

Even with the suspensions UNC brought arguably the best linebacker corp in the country.

UNC is still a better opponent than San Jose St, Miami (OH), Ark St, ULL and Jacksonville St.

Ole Miss losing at home to Jacksonville St. is worse than Alabama losing at ULL. That is one hell of an accomplishment.

If Ridley TD doesn't come back no one is having this discussion. I don't blame the coaching staff for takin' a look at some of the young DB's, but in hindsight we put them in too early. Then we found ourselves in a ballgame after they got the MO. I think everyone learned a valuable lesson... the game is 60 minutes long, not 45.

Bama lost to ULM, and it was in Tuscaloosa.

While I am happy we are 1-0, I don't think many people realize that we were 2 yards away from being just like Ole Miss.

ULM is division 1 and it was in Saban's first year with a Mutiny going on in his locker room.

I am pretty sure that everyone realizes that because we all saw the same game.

I was just correcting the previous poster that said ULL.

Dear God, have we fallen so far that our fans are just happy we didn't lose to Jacksonville St?

We just need to lower our expectations. Let's ignore the problems and just be happy we aren't Ole Miss. Our performance doesn't matter because we won. Let's just live in denial because it's easy.
