Which is why the issue is still relevant for this board, no matter how much most people will try to insist that it isn't.

And it wasn't even disregard for JJ's attitude that was so troubling. It was something more akin to Les Miles intentionally fostering that attitude. He fed it. He nurtured it. He may have even created it.

WOW people need serious help around here. And some wonder why LSU fans get the bad rep they have.

My sig quote(before it was killed) addressed this.

As far as I'm concerned, Miles' handling of the JJ-JL thing was so egregiously NOT about football that you have to question Miles' character.

SOMETHING was wrong. I'm not going to try and figure out which conspiracy theory is correct but I know what was NOT happening. What was NOT happening is an actual evaluation of the results on the field and the capabilities of the two QBs.

The list of benched QBs who even get a look at the NFL level while the guy they were benched for gets NOTHING cannot be very long.

As far as I know, it begins and ends with Matt Cassel

How many months did we have to endure people droning on with the same familiar refrains:

"Anybody who thinks Les Miles would make any decision that he didn't think gave LSU the best chance of winning football games is crazy."

"I will trust a highly paid national championship football coach over anything I read on the Rant no matter what."

Not surprising someone posts something positive about JJ like his tweet on having an opp... and it gets blocked.

Ya, we will have nothing to say about JJ around here unless its bashing.

Money.

I work here in BR and not surprised by people I do business with questioning Miles' character and even hoping for him to leave LSU.

Miles quit in a NC game over one player.

You ever stop to think it might've gotten whacked because there's no confirmation of anything?

Even QBs like Woodley (1979) or Marinovich (1990), who had stormy relations with their college coaches, were the main guys in their last bowl game.

I would have though, given the lack of production from the QB position, at some point Miles would have looked around and said "hey you Mettenberger, you have an helmet?"

Jj probably went to the combine and told everyone he saw himself as a franchise QB...

That was probably all it took

Oh, I get it.

The admins here are deliberately suppressing any threads confirming that JJ has indeed signed with the Patriots and is expected to compete immediately w/ Brady for the starting job. All because they just hate JJ.

You figured that out all by yourself. Brilliant.

Sort of like John Forcade coming out of Ole Miss telling the NFL its first round or nothing and getting nothing.

so your saying his tweet never happened? That was what the thread was about. And it got whacked. Even though the tweet is confirmed.

So tell me genius... why was it whacked?

Robert Lane expecting to be a 1st round pick in the MLB draft, then going undrafted and on to a wildly mediocre career as a FB at Ole Miss.

He wasn't benched in college. He played behind Hiesman Trophy winner Carson Palmer.
Cassell had the same situation as Flynn and both were drafted in the 7th round.

I had forgotten about that guy. given his reluctance (fear) to compete against Russell and Flynn, Ole Miss was a perfect fit for him.
