Only on the Score Board.

On the rant, no. I'm not serious.

Think he is the best back in the nation, and also has the best style for the NFL. Gurley has more speed, but that's it. Think hill is the best back in the nation, and gurley right there with him. Sankey is good also, but not better than hill or gurley.

... and Mett is the best QB ever who is going to win the Heisman, LSU has the best talent in the country, the best recruiting class, and the nations elite pedigree. ummmmm ok...

Reality check, he is a decent back, average speed, who takes plays and or games off ... right now, Hill is ranked 6th in his draft class of 2016 behind...

Gurley, Gordon (Wis), Yeldon, Davis (USCe), Johnson (Mia).

Probably will be projected as a 5th round draft pick (in 2016 - if he comes out early, might be later), but that might not take into account the personal character issues that have become center stage at NFL drafts, post Hernandez.

But what do the NFL scouts know...

The only knock I have on Hill this year is that with the exception of the first quarter of Auburn he hasn't really seemed to take over a game.

Sure he has had some good runs, but he just hasn't really wowed me at the end of a game.

Do you not remember the UF game? He closed it out in the last two drives with carries 11, 7, 26, 1, 10, 2, 7. That's 64 yards on his 7 carries against the #2 ranked run defense. No other RB cam close.

His 4th quarter against UGA were 5, 2 (for a 1st down), 1, 8 (TD run) which is 16 on 4 carries and a TD.

His 4th quarter against MSU was 5 (TD run), 0, 20, 7 which is 32 yards on 4 carries and a TD.

He doesn't need to wow because he is not the closer. He usually does his dirt in about two quarters while Miles switches running backs out like a sporadic monkey.

well they should know that he's going to be in the 2014 draft class

who takes plays and or games off

Yet he has the most rushing touchdowns in the country, is averaging 7.2 ypc, and putting up better numbers than Richardson, Ingram or Lacy ever did.

Hill wont make it past the 3rd round. And he will be going pro after this season most likely. Haha at the fact that you said hes a decent back with average speed. 2nd in the SEC in rushing yards, 1st in TDs, and averaging 7.2 YPC, and averaging even more than that between the tackles. A week or 2 ago he was averaging like 9.2 YPC between the tackles. Also has 4 TD runs over 50+ yards. A RB with average speed doesnt break 50+yard runs to the house. They get caught. Hilliard is a back with average speed and he gets caught. Hill doesnt. And he didnt play in the 1st game, and only had 6 carries in game 2. And he is still at the top of the SEC is rushing yards, TDs, and YPC.

When healthy, I thought Gurley was better than him. But thats it.

Not sure Gurley would average 7.2 ypc like Hill is doing..

The league is really in need of some running backs. The majority of teams have mediocre to poor run games. I think Grice will be taken third because of his pass catching abilities and Seastrunk 1st. Either Carey or Hill will be taken 2nd followed by Sankey at 4th or 5th. Hill is going to jump up draft boards with his 3 cone, vertical, and 40 at his weight.

Maybe not.

But the only RB that I would even think of taking over Hill is Gurley.

They are the top 2 RBs in the nation. And they have distanced themselves from the rest, even with Gurley not playing.

Mike Davis from South Carolina is another really good RB.

and datbayoubengal, I agree with all of that. But still, even if teams need RBs, they dont value them that much as they did in the past. I can see 1-2 RBs going in the 1st. Then 3+ going in the 2nd. Hill is def a 1st round talent. But, off the field stuff and the fact that NFL doesnt value RBs as much as they used to is the only reason why I said the 3rd. I can see him going as early as late 1st early 2nd. But most likely wont.

Jacob Hester went in the 3rd round.

It really doesn't matter when he gets drafted. He will end up getting in trouble for something and dismissed.

This is what saddens me as an LSU fan. The guy leads the nation in TDs and is second in rushing. Yet people aren't "wowed" enough. GTFO.

You didn't understand my post at all.

This was kind of my point. My post was not meant to knock Hill. It's just throughout much of this year the guy gets a ton of yards in the first half, and then seemingly disappears. Like I said, I don't attribute it to him, it has more to do with coaching decisions and play calling.

I just really want to see more of Hill punishing defenses to close out games.

I do apologize for misinterpreting this. You have to understand, that on the Tiger Rant, everything is negative. So it's natural to assume.
