Media and Fans perception that LSU simply:

1. Is not good enough?

2. Does not have the coaching to compete?

Anything can happen Saturday and if LSU comes out and realizes that they are as big and strong as their opponent they can win.

I think the silent majority answer is 2 though.

3. Lingering memories of the bloodbath in January combined with the current ineptitude of the Offense?

1. LSU, offensively isn't very good, while Bama is near perfect in all phases.

Coaching isn't really an issue, Miles has proven he can get the job done vs Saban.

This year, they are just flat out better than us

In general:

- people have watched their games
- people have watched our games

Being down at home in the 2nd qtr to Towson didn't help either.

Bama fans are a little nervous at the thought of having to have a "bad day."

LSU fans (realistic ones) are nervous at the thought of having to have a "best day."

It's no big deal ... LSU is the underdog ... but that's ok.

As long as the players are confident, I don't care what some "fans" feel.

The general want of the media to give Saban a rim job.

It's very simple;

Defense - push
Special teams - push
Offense - Bama by a lot

If the LSU D can stop the Bama O, it could be party time in BR...

Who is lacking confidence? Half of us think we can and will win.

The ineptitude shown on 1/9 is the main concern with LSU fans.

I think it comes from the 9 points scored in the last two games

Personally ... I don't factor 1/9 into this at all.

Different teams now.

This would be a coaching thing. Even if LSU had played their best game of he season on 1-9, they may not have won. I understand that.

The problem though is that the coaching was at its very worst on 1-9.

The coaching needs to step up on Saturday.

LSU has the weapons to compete.

It should be pretty obvious. It's not negative feelings about LSU-- they are deserving of a high ranking. It's that Bama, as much as I hate the gumps and the chief gump Saban, is incredibly strong this year. I dare say they could beat any of The Bear's teams by a big margin.

I do feel LSU can win, but it will require Bama taking LSU lightly, LSU playing way better on offense than any previous game, and getting points from the defense or special teams. And LSU fans will have to be as loud as ever have and into it for 60 minutes. I will do my share, btw.

For me it's the lack of a passing game, which LSU will need to win this game. Bama I don't think will take this game lightly. Saban will make sure they do not. If LSU can somehow reverse what we have seen since the Auburn game and throw for let's say 150+ and couple of TDs, then the chances are they win.

It's because LSU's offense can't pass well at all, and Bama is not going to have a problem stopping the run. It's hard to win, if you can't score. Our D will eventually wear down after a constant string of 3 and outs, just like it did on 1/9 and against Florida.

It doesn't make me a negatiger. It makes me a non-homer, realist.

And I don't think Bama is unstoppable this year, but I don't think we are nearly as good as last year, either.

Beacuse of the loss in January by inept offensive play.

nope, it's those fans who have vagina's. They said the same thing for South Carolina.

This coach has beat their coach more than any other coach has.
