I miss the days when you can catch up on half a day's posts on the 1st page. Now-a-days, a post gets pushed off the 1st page in a matter of minutes if no one responds. Call it progress I guess :)

This is by far, with the obvious exception of the sheer volume of posters now, the greatest difference in this Board from Nov. of 2003 when I joined.

Back then, you could actually make a post without being told to die in a fire, die of AIDS, get to frick out, shut the frick up or that anyone who disagreed with you slept with your mother, sister, girlfriend or wife the night before.

Since I have been around, I cannot remember any sustained period of euphoria like this board has been over the last few weeks.

Granted, it is euphoria relative to the typical chatter on this board, but enjoyable none the less.

Our destiny is in our own hands now. We are not worried about Syracuse vs. Notre Dame or Boise State vs. Hawaii. I remember staying up at the hotel in Altanta until 3:00 Am EST to watch that game, crazy.
