Depends on the definition of balanced I suppose. This team is likely viewed as a mild to moderate passing threat. Not sure that the QB is going to put fear into the hearts of DCs worrying about how to defend the vertical passing game.

Now, that said, if 'Bama can stop the running game, LSU is in a fix for sure.

I can agree that if Bama can't stop the run it could make things very interesting if lsu can utilize the passing game.

I still don't believe AJ is that great of a quarterback. Yes he might have had some easy dump offs and a few mismatches but until I can see that there is more than one WR besides Travin catching the ball, his progression is not going to improve.

Even though we're not throwing many passes, we're throwing with enough variety now that teams can't afford to cheat.

And we through to the tight end now.

We were a good match-up with Ole Miss, our O vs their D. They were quick, but small.
We are NOT a good match-up against Bamer. They are big, and fill gaps similar to MSU.
I do have faith Cam can find something to exploit in their D, but it likely won't be Jennings consistently throwing it.

I hope we use magee and fournette in the passing game. Love this match up against bama's linebackers.

I think we come out throwing it like Bama did against us on 1/9.

Did Ole Miss put extra players in the box?

they went to a 50 look in the second half that slowed us down, showed us a different front....same 7 in the box...

Worst-case - LSU offense is struggling against Bama.

What I would hope to see, if AJ is stalling and ineffective and the offense is sputtering, I'd hope Coach Miles would have learned from 1/9 and at least give Harris a shot at juicing up the offense. I believe Nicky wouldn't be planning on that happening; maybe Harris has it, maybe not. But to leave him on the bench all game if LSU is struggling, hoping AJ would jump-start himself, would be pretty much proof that no learning happens sometimes. And that would be totally frustrating.

But I'm hoping AJ has a great game and my worst-case scenario isn't even needed.

I hate when people show proof that no learning is happening.

On the 4th quarter scoring drive there was consistently 8 men in the box. 9 a few times.
