Is Orgeron as HC hindering Aranda’s future?

We all know Aranda is a great, young up and coming DC. Does coaching under Oeaux (a glorified recruiting coordinator) hurt his progress?

If LSU falls hard this year under O...which will happen, does Coach Aranda get lost in the shuffle?

He’s 41 and as long as he puts out elite defenses nothing will hurt his career.

Does it hurt Dabo’s guys as well, considering he’s just a better/more respected version of O? What a stupid fricking question. I really wish the admins on this site would reel in the constant, completely irrational O bashing. I hated the hire, I’m hugely skeptical about the future, but threads like this are so stupid and they’re doing absolutely nothing but hurting the national perception of the program and our fan base

If Oeux thinks Aranda is a threat to his future, hinder is not the word that comes to mind.

We have a cancer in the AD Office.

I am not sure how to word the spectre of Aranda being juxtaposed/associated with Oeux and Alleva, but I'd BET Aranda thinks about the fallout more than he'd care to say!

It is not a stupid notion posted by the original poster, but I bet Miles could tell a few good story on what happened with his staff and AD.

It's time to clean house in our administrations: University administration and Athletic administration.

When that is done, then you solve the internal rot!

I don’t think O has done enough to warrant his hiring. My confidence in him is pretty low.
But I want him to succeed. I want him to win every game, and I want to eat the biggest fricking bowl of crow ever served.

I think depending on the offense we can have a really mediocre year or a really awesome year. I’m not worried about the defense at all. Aranda will have it above average to great. Aranda has full reigns on the defense. Offense is where O needs to keep his nose out.

No.

If anything, the instability of the last couple years factored in to LSU stepping up to make Aranda one of the highest paid (maybe highest now?) assistant coaches in the country. Aranda is highly valued, and he's likely richer for it under Orgeron than he might've been if Les were still here.

And if Aranda wants to leave, he will easily find another high level job (though he's so well paid, it might be a pay cut unless it's an HC job... and even then it might be a pay cut).

It's like any thought fragment crosses their supposed minds and they post shite, typically dumb AF. The premise of the post is a complete joke. Hey, I'm Dave Aranda, I used to be a highly regarded DC until O became HC...

This is dumb. Aranda is his own coach. He controls the defense and has more talent than he's ever had on a team ever, with more resources as well. Hell, even his contract is separate of whatever happens to orgeron.
