2011/2012 was the last time I felt really confident about the programs overall direction to end a season. Despite 1/9 the majority of the defense was coming back. Mett was coming in. Chief was at his peak and 2011 offense put up points except for 1/9.

As dumb as it sounds the Texas Bowl started a domino effect of good things with the program. A blow out of a team that I truly thought would blow out us with the way our secondary played during the year. Recruiting is hitting it out of the park, good reports on juniors staying, the Aranda hire.

Cant wait for next year.

Now basketball is rolling. LSU athletics is back. :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

I agree. Bama losing would be the cherry on top

I believe we are getting great off-the-field news. If we can continue the momentum thru winter workouts, spring ball, and fall...watch out.

This. And we better capitalize. No excuses with the state the rest of the west should be in.

Just a bad storm away from a ten-win season so I can't equate that to a funk. Found out they were playing with an injured QB and for whatever reason the team just underperformed against Ark and OM. This bunch will be pre-season top 10 and I expect they will live up to that.

They gonna have to prove it, no benefit of the doubt with me.

Coaching turnover, turmoil in AD, no proven QB, etc

I'm optimistic for 9 wins, typical miles season.

I think you're correct. The program finally seems to be headed back to the top of CFB.

Let's hope. If Miles keeps his hands off the offensive play calling we have a chance to be great.

I don't think it effected Harris as much as most...It certainly wasn't his faukt that we were abused on defense by both Ole Niss and Arkie... It was more of an aftereffect of how BAD Bama pushed us around...

7 teams in the SEC won 9 or more games this year, hell Georgia won 10.
6 Teams from the big ten won 9 or more games
and 4 teams from the big 12 won 9 or more.

Is winning 10 games really that impressive anymore?

Only 6 of those 7 teams played 13 games this season.
