The only two coaches anyone can rank ahead of Les is Saban and Urban.

I thought the same thing on Meyer until seeing the shite sandwich he left in Gainesville. I'm thinking Mullen had a lot to do with his success.

I'm of the opinion that quite a few people would do well at LSU in it's current shape.

Sure. But after 7 years of elite success since our previous coach, you would have to admit that Miles has done well also, no?

In fact, a better question, what current CFB HC would you have higher. I wouldn't challenge Saban. Probably wouldn't challenge Peterson. Outside of that...who?

You're an Oregon fan and not sure if Les is top 10? If he is not than what is Chip Kelly, 50th?

X's and O's guru (Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, Petrino, etc) no. Putting staff together, recruiting, running a club successfully...I'd put him top 5.

Regardless what Miles is good at, I had to accept him. It was tough for me. My girl at the time told me,"he won " and that's all that mattered. F

I'm an LSU fan living in Metairie Louisiana.

Chip Kelly is in my current top 2. Offensive genius.

Statistically, yes he is a top 10 coach easily. In other aspects, not so much
What are these other aspects? And truly not a flame, I just don't understand what you mean. Doesn't "statistically" covers everything from win/loss to hardware to playcalling to scheme to recruiting? What else is there that isn't "statistically"?

Oh geez, I thought we already proved his gimmicky crap doesn't work vs real defenses...

Wise move, the better half is always right. Lot of naysaying right now of course but a good run in 2012 will cure all that. At present I never hear a Bama fan say "I can't believe Saban snatched defeat from the jaws of a 24 point victory.' It eventually goes away.

At the end of the day you ask yourself ," Is my Coach a top 5 coach?". If the answer is no, does my coach have a decent record against the best coach

I posted this with a facetious tone in my head. Just wanted to clarify, so someone doesn't scan over and say "that whiskey dick is a fricking moron". Fwiw I think he is a top 5 all around college football coach. You can't say "Xs and Os", "game day" or any other cliche. A coach is in charge of the program, a CEO of sorts, and Miles does that and has a system installed that is top 2 in the country.

The best is always compared to the best. That's simply the level he is at and is holding his own,no?

Of course! Before last season it was easy to ask this question and get plenty of ," he sucks, bottom of the barrel", answers.

It's refreshing to see LSU fans acknowledge they have a decent coach. The baseball coach won a national title 3 years ago and supposedly we need to cut his balls off
